Helen Mirren is a far better actress than of the other British actresses listed.

Not altogether annoying as these things go, but no Paul Scofield, contender for the best stage actor of all?

Most Oscars? Highest earnings? Total film output? Longevity? Box Office sucess?

Anyway, no non-native English speakers in the list seem to suggest that the voters were considering a somewhat smaller world than what I associate with that word.

John Thaw maybe, but the rest you name are compotent actors but hardly amongst the greatest.

You are, of course, correct about the lack of non English speaking actors, Curt Jurgens for example springs to mind. I take it you are joking about Harry Reems!
