Today a caught a bit of Jonathan Ross's films of the year, but in the kitchen the radio was on, and Radio 1 were doing there films of the year where radio 1 'listeners' texted in and gave there opinons. I had to laff when someone said Green street was 'absolutly Brilliant' and some tart at uni said 'Hitch' and 40 year old Virgin' were her favorite films of the year.

No accounting for taste I guess. though I've not seen them I must stress.
I was gonna go and see Narnia, but heard bad things about it, which is a shame as I loved the books when I was a nipper.

I love Star wars too but didnt even bother to see the 'Sith' as I was soooo dissapointed with the 'clones' - complete crock of cac.

Anyone know when what and when the next Tarrantino flick will be? I heard is a war / man on a mission type genre.

So to summerise my points;
1. Radio 1 is fucking shit, I hate it, and the listeners are student dicks who would never have made it into uni if they were from my generation.
2 Tarrantion movie?

PS - not ask me why I dont change the radio station - its a tedious , dull tale.

Oh you are in for a treat! I actually watched it again due to a combination of not having anything better to do and fascination about how shit it is. This time I found myself laughing out loud at certain points so it must have some value. I think it's the final battle scene that tipped it over the edge for me into the deepest abyss of shiteness. The Green Street blokes march mournfully to a final showdown with the Millwall blokes who are greater in number and far more evil and it is shot and scored to make us feel great sympathy and awe for these warriors displaying a "Battle of Britain" level of bravery. The real kicker is the "Brothers In Arms" type song that provides the soundtrack at this point which really does, I'm not winding you up, include lines like, "I stood with my brothers."

You may laugh, you may cry, you will certainly resent the money you paid out to hire it but you MUST see it!

Oh dear. What a mess Kong makes. Peter Jackson?s judgement seems to have deserted him on this flimsy, overblown indulgence, awash with creative conceits. Kong himself is now not a monster but simply a giant ape, frowning and fawning to little effect, and his much-hyped relationship with the girl never gets beyond the Lassie stage all told. Only when he?s allowed to signify something does the film rise to the challenge (his rage on stage in front of that writer bloke, for instance). But this is a largely empty vehicle for visual showboating that never really thrills as it should, probably because the material now seems so generic. Dinosaurs ? so what? As a visual treat that surreal Stella Artois ad with the ants crawling over the cracked egg knocks the whole film into a cocked hat, frankly.

Considering the money and weight surrounding this project, it must be embarrassing for those concerned to see it stalling somewhat at the box office. Jackson?s next project is an adaptation of Alice Sebold?s The Lovely Bones. Probably a much smaller piece, but a return to Heavenly Creatures mode can?t come soon enough.

Judging from your description Brother Blue, that was the finished version, because the effects were shit in the final cut too!
