Don't you think photo-taker if it were that simple it would have already been done
the one thing you don't seem to realise is that we in the west get more out of africa via trade than we put in vid aid...that is a FACT
From the diamonds of sierre leone to the oil of nigeria and the list goes on
If we turn our backs as you suggest all these companies from the west are going to have to lay off thousands of skilled workers
So your pipe dream of taking care of ones own patch will never happen becase we live in a global economy not a Local one and have for some time now
