I agree with that point but the problem I have is that they are not there because of the fact they are a state with a people to represent, that's just a quirk of Italy and the fact no other religion has one point of contact. They are simply there as a religion, not a state, which is not right when all the other major religions are excluded

It certainly buggered up the Brits, with Tone having to postpone his election annoucement until tomorrow, and Chas and Cam delaying their wedding for 24 hours.

The hotels in Rome are lapping it up - no room at the inn, as it were. And the news channels are going to town 24x7 Pope Pope Pope: CNN, Sky, Fox News - it certainly has drawn some straqnge people out of the shadows to say how great he was - even Frank Skinner was interviewed on one news report, what has he got to do with the situation?

He's catholic,he used to mention it enough times on that shit show he did with Baddiel.
one thing about jp2 shuffling off this mortal coil it'll shift attention from the catholic church's problem with paedo priests and child abuse for a few weeks ,which strangely enough jp2 did'nt want to talk about when he was alive.
