The question being?
Would I shoot intruders? No. I don't have a gun.
Would I beat them to a pulp like some of you boast you would do? Well, words are cheap aren't they.
As we use to say as kids "You and whose army?."

When its all said and done you the viewer always have the ultimate power
While it might be nice to see jamie, ainsley, nigella & floyd being stirred fried
this would only become a spin off program so I wouldn't mention it again
As for the "Lifestyle Reality Programs",they're already dead IMHO
The TV GUide if used wisely can make all these painful repetitive annoyances just disappear like a burglar down the drain shredder thingy(plungers still have their use)
cheers

Martin, it's pretty obvious and has been spoken about a couple of times on here before, but I have been involved in martial arts from the age of 5.
I'm afraid you're issue with "boasting" & "you and whose army" is therefore redundant as far as I'm concerned.
You'll no doubt accuse me of boasting with this, but what the hell, it's the first time I'm going to bother mentioning this.
In the ring, I've fought some of the top martial artists in the country. Some I've won and some I've lost. Either way, I'm pretty mentally conditioned to react.
I really wouldn't need an army Mart and I doubt anyone with an ounce of family protection would either even if they have never trained in their lives.
I have also told my story once before of what I did to an intruder and I don't need to go down there again, but it's searchable.
I get the feeling from your posts and attitude that you are not entirely happy with your own ability and feel the need to act a prick to anyone would react naturally.
I have trained all my life and am therefore ready to switch it on when required. It doesn't mean I like it at all. I do it as a means to an end - period.
My family are my priority. What if someone from my household accidentally disturbs an intruder and ends up paying for it.
In my household, if there is a noise, I'm there straightaway along with the dog.
Do you have children? Do you have a partener you live with? Perhaps an elderly relative.
Your attitude to this whole thing leads me to believe that you are a spineless individual. I hope you never have to wake up to the shock that someone has broken in.
You can keep your faith in the police and the courts.
Now go make a potential intruder a cup of tea and listen to his sorry arse story.

Yeah, yeah big man.
Some of you rejoice in finding excuses to strut your macho stuff and tell the rest of us what strong violent hard men you are.
Well, Holden, I don't need to massage my ego.

Considering I always play up the image of being a 28stone, 4-eyed, ginger tricycle rider, I'd hardly say that I'm one for doing the macho thing on here.
I just don't understand your lack of ability to understand why people lose their shit when someone breaks in.
I'll stick with;
a) You're spineless and bottle it
b) You have broken into someones house in your youth and got the shit kicked out of you & you now hold a grudge against our views
Hope you can deal with your issues.

I have never been the victim of a break in, I know people who have and have been devestated by it, Anyone who ever breaks into my home I could not say what I would do, but to protect my Children I think I would do what ever I need to, if that includes killing so be it, I am no BullDog Drummond But I would not sit by and allow an intruder to wander in my home with my Girls asleep.

Power to you sister.
We agree on something at last.
But according to Mart, you're just bigging up your tits and showing off.

'if that includes killing so be it'
very easy to say, I bet in reality it's very different. If someone was actually attacking my family maybe yes, if someone was just trying to nick the video would it be the same scenario? I dunno.
I'm not sure actually taking a human life could be such a simple thing as has been suggested in this thread.
I'm pretty sure if I lashed out and killed someone, maybe a young lad/lass who made a stupid mistake and went to nick some material stuff, it would fuck with my head big time.
Virtually all burglers just want to nick something, not hurt your family, i'm not sure I could justify killing them over a few bits of tat

A voice of sanity and reason.
I've never said I would meekly stand by and/or make a cup of tea. What riles me is the bragging about the amount of violence that some of you would apparently like to engage in. Its almost as if you leave your front doors open waiting to inflict the maximum amount of damage.
