Not to take anything away from this Anglo/Irish/Welsh/Scottish/American angst thread but yes Julianne Moore?s mother was indeed Scottish (not sure where she even came on the scene with regard to this thread!!). Gillian Anderson on the other hand is born and bred in America although she did live in England between her childhood years of 2-11, hence her on/off English accent. My own opinion of her is that if she was not famous she would be the type of women who you really would not give a second glance to in the street.
