I've always connected my DVD players to the VCR and the VCR to the TV (both via the satellite box and direct) in the way described by Rockman and never had any problems. This is with at least two different VCRs. though my first DVD player (Pioneer) did refuse to play a Macrovision protected DVD when connected this way on someone else's set up. I've used several other DVD players and only one has had the facility to switch off Macrovision, but they have all worked connected this way.

The TV does have scart connectors, but these are only used for a Sky box to TV belt-and-braces connection.

I don't know whether I've been lucky with the models used.

I think most porn DVDs are not macrovision protected, though Hollywood films and similar are.

Why not use one of those little boxes whereby you can connect 4 or 5 scarts to go to one scart on your TV. They can be switchable to use whatever machine you're playing at the moment.

Well Magoo, I'm sure you have got steve56 thoroughly confused. At least that makes a change, its usually him who confuses the rest of us.
