keep an eye on maria sharapova (not difficult, i'll admit) - seeded 13 but she could go all the way.

yes and that croatian player that put Venus Williams out today, Miss Sperm ... oops sorry Miss Sprem, she looked good coming into the net ...
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

I've noticed her...must have been all that screaming/grunting ala Monica Seles

Yes the Russians seem to be producing some girls who have a bit more steel these days than their predecessors ie AK

Still don't think their quite up to the Williams sisters standards yet
but given time we might actually see some competition

Anything has got to be better than watching the Yanks & The Belgiums winning all the grand slams

cheers

Sounds good on the surface but then if put into perspective its a gliche as any professional player will tell you after a long layoff you need a lot of matches under your belt before you become competitive again

Lesser players after a 6 month layoff would most likely not even make it to the main draw

It doesn't matter, Steve. There is no rule in tennis that says the player should look pretty. Neither should a chess player or a Sumo wrestler.

Sharapova into her first Grand Slam Final-Wimbledon

I take it you've been following her form closely

Should be an interesting final given that both players struggled through in 3 during the Semis

I assume that Woodgnome doesn't mean "go all the way" in the sexual sense, or perhaps he is talking the same language as steve56.
