Property Prices are only relative to your capapcity to earn

Your right its a worldwide phenomenon

Many places have the locals renting accomodation which is owned either by wealthy locals or foreign investors

Why pay off a big mortgage and struggle when you can rent for far cheaper
Makes no sense to me but then I own my own home so maybe I'm biased

I rented for about a year before finding my place and didn't have a problem with the land lord

I'm currently not even on the food chain

Just living off my accrued savings of the past 20 years until I decide what I want to pursue next...Study will proabbly be the it...sounds nice after
17 years of working for Big Corporation Bank

If your only 20 you still have loads of time

Fear of failure is just a natural response to something unknown
If you have the chance I'd say go for the study and keep some part time work if possible

Just make sure the study is likely to end in a job...no arts degress

Take it from some one that has been there
there is only one rule in life.....to succeed you must/will fail

The only time you fail is when you don't try...very cliche but true

Find something that you have a passion for and go for it...only the very brave pursue this course but the rewards are worth it IMHO

My passions are Nature & History....taken me almost my entire life to realise as such how either could lead to a job that paid any money

I'll study something like horticulture

For the record I don't regret my Bank History as I met many people that I am still friends with..this can never be underestimated...though the work may have been laborious at times it still filled my life with meaning at the time-very important IMHO

Though a task may seem mundane,it will always be the people that you work with that make the jon worth doing

Started as a teller and worked my way up as an allround Mr Fixit"Jack of All Trades" Teller

I've never been ambitious or after money-end of story

Attitude is paramount when working in even a dead end job
I see many young peope working as check out chics/guys and many seem disheartened by their predicament which is pure folly

As an elderly colleague said to me once...What else would you be doing?...in other words if you aren't happy with what you are doing what else would make you happy?......... education is the key to some sort of freedom to choose at the very least...grab it while its there

cheers

Muscle and fat ate two seperate things. Mucsle does not turn into fat.
To harden up the lower abs, you should do leg raisers with weight in your ankles, rather than doing hundreds of sit ups after you have warmed up place a weight behind your head as you do the exercise. This will thicken the stomach muscle.
Might not have a big cock, but I know about abs.

in between bouts of buffing yourself up, could you please start replying to the correct posts.

at the moment all your replies are made to the post at the top of the thread which can be confusing and certainly would be if everyone else did it. it ain't hard, believe me... not as hard as sit-ups, anyway.

i agree with u deuce - we seem to have similar rooted personalities. im not financially greedy (in fact aside from the compulsary usual fees everyone has to pay) i hardly spend anything really - economical spending etc. however, i cant help but feel my generation NEED to be somewhat greedy or we'll be limited to having one child somewhere in our mid 50s :|

i guess it all depends on what ur life priorities are, personally there are certain things i hope will bring happiness in the future and a good income will round them off....but lets face it we all seem to be vulnerable to a midlife crisis type breakdown whether things are just peachy or a moudly green colour.

as for study - im glad in a way i didnt go straight away, it wouldve been pointless as i wouldntve known what to study and i prob woulda quit - so i guess i saved myself the debt. ive got friends studying things like science who dont even like it - i think they forget that its a big world out there...

as for being only 20, i feel 30 with the amount of pressure i put on myself over these kind of issues; without sounding a twat but its a blend of practical intelligence and nihilistic outlook on the world and its very ageing.

<<Just make sure the study is likely to end in a job...no arts degress

lollll yeh i wouldnt do art as i dont see how it can lead to anything immediate but something creative/artistic instead maybe. i think also locations damaging...love the peace of Norfolk but as the other forumites would tell u...its a bit of a pain in the arse being largely cut off from the rest of the world.

so wheres our tetris comp....bring it on boy, bring it onnnn

MARINO - thanks for ur advice/help man ill give those a try :) and i dunno nething about ur dick sorry lol

Oh, the curse of careerism. Being educated to BA then later MA level in arts subjects I can vouch for neither being a ticket to the land of riches - but should that be the sole point of higher education? Do remember that with arts-related courses part of the draw - possibly the most rewarding - is to further ones creative abilities and understanding, rather than treating the course as a tiring, yet obliging stepping-stone to whatever comfortable lifestyle choice you had in mind.

Oh, and if you're going to go, go soon. Presently our beloved Govt. are steadily putting higher education beyond the means of the common man. Wait any longer and it'll be beyond the means of the Duke of Westminster.

of course it's important - if everyone else followed your example the whole forum would collapse into a heap of stinking ordure (yes, it CAN get worse than this...). of course, that could just be your youthful nihilism shining through.

seriously though, please sort it out or your future posts are liable to get twatted (to put it in o/t parlance).
