Thanks for setting me straight: there was a nagging doubt when I posted the above, and so I ran through the two in my head, but age and infirmity will have their way............

No Mention of 1969

I hear its very popular amongst the elderly who are being put into a permanent stasis until immortality & time travel are achieved

Of course 1969 is the destination everybody wants to visit

I was thinking more of when I was an age to enjoy myself, and also able to get a good shot at Thatcher with a high-powered rifle :-)

No, better avoid violence altogether. I'd end up wanting to shoot every John Travolta wannabe, and the police would catch me long before I could get as many as necessary.

Still, while I'm in 1978, I could always point Plod in the direction of Messrs Sutcliffe and West, and save some families a great deal of heartache.
