i hate all modern rock but along the lines of pantera...Cemetary Gates is my all time fav song despite soundgarden/alice in chains being my fav band/s.....id add faith no more and mr bungle and other patton bands to the list to....
tool, janes addiction, metalilca etc also....

linkin park...slipknot...good charlotte...i dunno i just find their whole sounds too polished and just not of the quality of the previously mentioned bands....its really genuinely q.simple to write like those bands....and thats never a good thing....gimme one Outshined riff from ne of them and maybe ill change my mind..until then,....nope

Just - yeah sorry to enforce my opinion im afraid im a nazi when it comes to music, ive lost a lot of friends over it from being overly passionate...also a musician too...its a lethal combination honestly...

No Probs Steve56

Ted Nugent was a member of the Damn Yankees when they did Unplugged, as I recall it was a mixture of 3-4 bands on that Unplugged show, MTV Hard-Rock Unplugged was the episode for that show I think. I wish MTV UK would look into their archives and play them shows as MTV Europe studios used to be in London back then, so they must have it. Change of personel at MTV screwed things up thats why all the main cool shows got the axe, some dumb gits put on crap shows instead. Just how the hell do these people know what we like. I find that MTV germany play better stuff than MTV UK. They lack in varitey. Still I like watching the Award shows, they are a bit more entertaining, thats cause they are from the US, The European music awards are OK....... Sorry I'm going off off topic here.

Back to MTV Unplugged........ A lot of the bands/Artists that did Unplugged released them on CD/Album or singles
Artist such as Eric Clapton, Mariah carey, Hole, Nirvana, 10,000 Maniacs, Paul McCartney, Bryan adams....and many more

While I admire many of the above performers I don't think they are in the same class as Don Mclean(probably spelt it wrong) Mr American Pie(no not A dam Sandler)

I once witnessed him perform for 2 hours accoustically and can say without doubt he has no rivals that I have heard of...live is where its at not on CD or tape

cheers

true Ace, but KISS Unplugged was fucking cool, and they did make a shitload of money - second biggest selling Unplugged of all time - after Page and Plant, which I actually wasn't all that keen on - although "Thank You" and "Kashmir" were awesome!
