If I do my +1 to Conan again, does it overwrite the existing +2, or do I become +8 in addition to +1? And if thats a case, are they cumulative and my +8 +1 becomes a straight +9, leaving +1 vacated?

(It's late, okay. I've been editing vids for a couple of hours and my brains gone numb)

You are using your credit card to purchase legal porn - fair enough. But who pays to watch porn these days? There's literally hectares of free stuff out there on the net, so why pay for it?

Yes.

Why indeed

For every action there is a re-action and its fascinating when people are shocked when they get these letters to pay up for partaking in copyright infringement then say they didnt infringe copyright because it was ..well just there to click and play on

I wonder if all those celebrities with their hacked accounts feel the same way....Oh its just out there so its fair game.

It seems all sense of whats right and wrong has gone walkies where the internet is concerned

People download 100 million dollar blockbusters for free feeling its all part of what they pay for with their broadband package then suddenly play the poor victim when the letter comes through the post asking them to pay up for downloading from a torrent site.

The moment you make that conscious decision to download software clients to download and save to your hard drive is the moment you are breaking the law.

Thats the reason alone you should pay for it but if everyone is prone to breaking laws then dont moan if someone takes the same liberties with you you at knife point on a dark night when they ask for your wallet because...well you was just there.

The answer is all in the whether its right or wrong and Im sure you will colour me silly with a perfectly good excuse for why you choose not to pay

Oh and Trumpton....That stuff isnt free unless the people who made it uploaded it to give away for free.

In some cases you might be right but tube sites are full of stolen content uploaded by users who have no permission to do so because they do not even have the rightsas an enduser to do so

I'd love to meet the person who first coined the expression 'if you're doing nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about'. It's not just naive and blind to the real world, it's a dangerous belief and one that should never be imparted to anyone else. What's behind that kind of thinking?

Playing devil's advocate, that isn't true. File sharing clients aren't inherently illegal - it's what you download using them that's legal or illegal.

Some Linux distributions, video game patches, education courses, government data and content, even some films, music and TV shows are downloadable via BitTorrrent and it is perfectly legal.

I'm not kidding myself that most uses of BitTorrent or other means of file sharing probably are for illegal downloads but I don't agree with your statement either.
