The mainstream media is never going to do justice to the complexities of being a performer in adult industries. It would just short circuit and 'problematize' convention so much that it's easier to go with the 'victim' thing and deny that 'porn' can be a positive choice. Why expect anything different ?
American women are free to do stupid, harmful things to themselves just as the men are. Is this progress ? Why are you defining people in terms of stupidity and self harm rather than intelligence ?
You rightly describe donkey punch as 'desperate'. Given the choice why would anyone align themselves with desperation ?
The beautiful girls having sex with 'pensioners' and 'fuck ugly' men ... it's a gig. Turn up - do the job - get paid - go home. The concept of professionalism would dictate that it dsoesn't matter who you are fucking. It's mechanical, disengaged sex .. the skill of the performers is to make it appear otherwise. Am I wrong ?
