No-one has made any real definition of pornography and as no-one has made any postings recently I will now bring the subject to a close with my own theory:

We are living in the age of Big Brother,cameras follow our every move, helicopters buzz overhead, number plates are read and the satellite positions you geographically via your mobile phone or car. All words have been changed to become the opposite of their true and original meaning.

Thatcher denied 1984 was here but she was architect of it all. Orwell predicted it and Double Speak was here. The Ministry of War became the Ministry of Defence, the British Board of Film Censorship became the British Board of Film Classification and so on. Words became to mean the opposite of what they had been.

Jeremy Bentham invented the Panopticon where a single warder could see everyone in the prison. Big Brother is at the centre, authoritarian and controls everything. Big Brother does not like it when anyone hides by wearing a hood, for example because he cannot see them!

Thus pornography, the amusing and sexually arousing which equalled good suddenly became obscene and bad for two hundred years. Now in the 21st Century morals are swinging back and pornography means a good thing again for many, especially the young, and more in line with the original meaning of the word

Pornography's the only time you get screwed and feel good about it. There is no one rule or phrase that defines it as like many things in life it's very diverse, some might save perverse but I don't think sexuality is something to be ashamed of. Sex is to be enjoyed and explored. What is pornography? XXXploration not XXXploitation. You asked a simple question, and here is the simple answer -

Pornography = Films, magazines, photographs and similar materials that are sexually explicit and intended to cause sexual arousal.

Nothing more, nothing less. The above definition seems quite simple, clear, and concise to me, and I regret the superfluous, incoherent, rambling that has manifested itself in many parts of this thread.
