Actually the incubation for HIV can be in excess of 3 months. So monthly tests are worth nothing, since they can show your clear, when in fact u are merely "cooking", the disease. This is why in the USA when they had the HVI scare, even with their fancy dna tests, they still had to wait for a considerable time to be absolutely sure.

Very true. I was talking more about your 'common or garden' STIs.

Rather than everyone getting crazy, a simple precaution, is the whole industry gets a test next week, and we post our reults in a public place so we know who is okay at the moment.

Or we can bury our heads in the sand, and just slag each other off.

Our thoughts should be with if there is an unlucky individual who has a positive test.
I hope not, but we are a small industry over here, and lets do our bit this time, to conduct ourselves in a proper manner.

The problem is Marino, if we all get tested on the same day, the results would not be accurate as some could be still incubating the disease and not produce antibodies. We'd have to all get tested on the same day, then not have sex for 3 months and then all get tested again. This would be impossible, but accurate.

I understand the incubation period, but if this is for real, there may be some more of us positive, which we need to know as soon as poss.

I think we wait till monday let the people in the know do the research, and make an informed desicion from there.

Look after yourself people. and lets get back to fucking hard as soon as possible.

One thought is that IF come monday this does prove a) to be true and b) to be in the industry shouldn't we be looking at stopping production throughout if we are to be sensible? Not just get tests which we know are likely to not be accurate yet and go with blind chance?
