You are right of course. Vested interests and politcal correctness stops much serious discussion about this dreadful disease.

And if I remember rightly - President Mbeki of South Africa was widely and heavily criticised early in his first term for refusing to recognise the was an "AIDS problem" in South Africa...
When you consider the number of tropical diseases that abound coupled with the limited medical services in the African nations - it does beg the question as to how thay can be so sure it is AIDS if the method of diagnosis is so informal!

How's about this then, from the same book, " Yet another vaccination/AIDS connection was proposed in 1987 in which London Times science editor Pearce Wright stated: The AIDS epidemic may have been triggered by the mass vaccination campaign which eradicated smallpox. The WHO which masterminded the 13 year campaign is studying new scientific evidence suggesting immunization with the smallpox vaccine , vaccinia, awakened the unsuspected dormant human immuno defence virus infection (HIV) Some experts fear that in obliterating one disease, another disease was transformed from a minor endemic illness of the Third World into the current pandemic. An advisor to the WHO who disclosed the problem told The Times, "I thought it was just a coincidence until we studied the latest findings about the reactions which can be caused by vaccinia. Now I believe the smallpox vaccine theory is the explanation to the explosion of AIDS"
Also a Dr Harold Buttrom suggests,
There are grounds for believing that Wetsern vaccines introduced since WW2 into native African populations may have catalyzed the change of AIDS virus from latent to active state.

Joanna Jet, Blueprint got your e-mail and will respond Monday. we have already had a first meating re Tesying here at my offices and we are working on it, It is not as simple as in LA, W e do not have goverment acceptance never mind approval. It is all in hand and nothing will make it move any quicker. This recent event in LA effects us all some of these people are my friends for 20 years, it is sad but was predictable. If the same happened in UK we would contain it between the current workers here simply because our industry is so small, there is only a few productions going on at any one time and the majority of the Pro people test regualar even the producers do.
I have 26 years in this and have seen it all so my eyes are wide open Tim Connely I am sure will tell you of my comitment to and Industry we talk regular and they at AVN are working to helps us all on BluePrint and we the same.
If I would wish for anything at this time it is for a complete support for the new magazine which will give the British Industry a start towards AVN. I have invested everything in the Magazine and the Brighton show all I need is complete support from everyone else, that include advertising in it and writing for it.

Alfie if you are dumb enough to ask the question expect plenty of flack.
HIV kills people, simple as that. I work with disadvantaged people, including some HIV + and I can tell you it wrecks lives.
If it becomes widespread then the porn business is, to put it in their own terms, fucked up the arse.

Why is everyone acting like this HIV scare is a new thing. At least five American porn performers tested HIV+ in 2003:
The only difference is they were all women, Darren James is the first bloke (since the days of John Holmes at any rate).
Is the reason for the scare that a positive male in the industry can spread the virus far quicker than a bunch of females?
Or is more to do with the fact that in the misogynistic world of US porn, a dozen women can die of the disease without a second glance; it's only when a bloke catches it that the fat men who make all the money realise they are at risk too and the shit hits the fan.

Your quoting an old article, golostruda. Tricia Devereaux and the other girls mentioned were diagnosed as HIV positive in 1998, all having to do with the Mark Wallice case back then.

When it comes to stress, I can't think of anything but all my problems, so I can't focus on anything else. I'm glad that not so long ago, I managed to discover
thc caramels, and they turned out to be a great solution for me. You can check them out as well, and I can say that I don't regret turning to them.
