I am in shock over this, I have never know any one to have HIV in either my personal life or professional, and when I read the story the first time I couldn't actually believe it.

I know Darren James and have worked with him in the past. He's a nice guy and I really feel for him. I mean none of us do this job thinking we would ever really catch HIV, I mean if we did there wouldn't be a porn industry.and now it has actually happened and ow my god dosn't it make you think. It's so close to home you know wot I mean.

You catch HIV it's not just your life it's your whole career, your whole lively hood, thats it. Can you imagion how he's feeling? It's fucking scary man

Granted Sandie but then the next industry guy/girl should be aware that having been presented with a certificate which whether issued in the last 30 or 90 days may not be worth the paper it is written on because the previous evening they have attended an event were such delights as the Cumbowl or Bukake Snowball were advertised.
Everybody knows these "welcome all cummers" events happen..they are arranged by posters to this forum..and feature several industry girls.
So yes I agree "Setting your own limits" is fine as long as everybody that you work with knows what you have done since your last all clear.

IMHO the timebomb is ticking.

Maybe a good idea would be for all the guys and gals who are working abroad all the time could go into voluntary incubation on their return here. The first thing one does in a health scare is to close one's borders; as usual we are getting the tidal wave of American hysteria, no doubt fuelled by greedy lawyers seeing a potential for making a killing. Am I right in saying this is the second time someone in the business has picked up HIV on a trip to Brazil? Maybe producers should start checking passports for visits to places like this and ensure a certificate proves the person is clear from the exit date on their passport.

You?re right, John ?Buttman? Stagliano traced his conversion to HIV+ status, after filming a transsexual sex scene in Brazil. This is the reason why his production company Elegant Angel now operates a condom only policy on all sex scenes shot in South America.

Anyone reading about this case will be struck by a sense of d?j? vu, given that it seems freakishly similar to the events surrounding Marc Wallace, a US based stud who was alleged to have worked with a false negative test in 1998 and in the process infected a number of his co-stars.

Proving that US porn really is a small world, Tricia Devereaux one of the performers infected is now married to Stagliano. There performance together in ?Buttman?s Toy Stories? is the only straight sex scene ever performed by two HIV+ individuals.

Tragically, after the initial shock waves of the Marc Wallace case, things quickly got back to normal, increased risks continued to be taken in a bid to stimulate the appetites of a jaded audience and history appears to be repeating itself. Personal tragedy aside, given the Bush/Ashcroft led clampdown on US porn announced recently, this has not been a good week for the American sex industry.

Well said! many performers in this business (particularly the guys) really have lost the plot, they are living a life that most men would envy, ie shagging and getting paid for it, and in between whinging and moaning, they expect to be called "Stars", why? because they just about managed to get a hard on and fuck a pretty girl.
On top of all this, they want to do it "risk free"
Lifes never that simple, in fact it would be unjust if it was. So guys next time you've got your dick in a lovely babes ass, spare a thought for those poor sods cleaning drains or being attacked by yobs for a living, and give thanks.
Sure minimise the risk, where possible, but accept there always will be a risk and if you don't like it, get another job.

How did he catch HIV "While filming?" did a TV creep up behind him whilst he was on camera?

Rather then a member of the transgendered/busty and hung/chaps with baps/sluts with nuts massive attacking the American Tom Jones lookalike whilst he concentrated on focus and lighting, you'll find that Stagliano is legendary for his skill in dipping his wick at the same time he's holding the camera.

Maybe this happening might make people wake up and smell the roses and stop doing the sleazy side to the industry.

To be honest as a punter to porn and as partner to someone in the business i'm not at all interested in bukkake parties and gang bang parties etc....... Time to play safe or we could get it over here this also includes the modelling agencies shagging models or maybe they should be tested also.

Also another to meantion is BGAFD Parties need to be safer and if the girls do wish to get down to girl/girl or what ever they do maybe they should be producing these certs at public events and not giving punters blowjobs.

Go on so much about how professional the uk adult industry is well prove it coz from what i have seen it aint that professional.

I read the first posting sandie put and the link to the news which iIhad though a yahoo group email, I did expect it would generate a long thread on the board plus jft media setting up that meeting has affected the industry as when I book my hiv and full panel at the clinic its getting harder to get an appointment every 30 days, if i could afford to go private I would

also it might be an idea for proformers to keep a list of names and numbers of other proformers they've workedwith if they don't already so if any scares go round they can find out first hand before reading it on the net like those poor girls that worked with darren

also it was interesting to see the bgafd4 pics after this all started or did they show hiv certs off first?
no offence ment to anyone
