Indeed... they've brought it to the wider attnetion - but lets also hope (for their sake) that they brought the exclusivity clause and it's far reaching consequences specifically to the attention of the models before they signed... even though it is a signed contract, I think the UK courts would need to be satisfied that there was a red hand pointing to this clause!

What an idiotic post. The protection of business rights is not a matter of punter PR.
As to B2B PR, It would be rather worse for BB if other producers believed they could rip our legal rights off - without penalty or liability. Now, nobody does.
The test is not whether a Court had held a producer liable. The test is whether a producer willingly wants to take the risk.

The red hand doctrine is a point of contract law which concerns exclusion clauses, not restrictive covenants. This is the danger of getting your legal knowledge from christmas crackers. !happy!

Both scenarios have ocurred.
Scanario 1: the show's researchers bothered to look at our website, saw she was a contract girl and made enquiry. Permission was granted.
Scenario 2: attending a live concert is not a 'performance'.
Do try again.

You might be better off actually investing in a standard legal textbook on contract law and another one on tort law. It will cover a bit more than 3 paragraphs of summary. Good luck.

Actually, it is very productive.
Business (B2B) is not a popularity contest. Protecting legal rights certainly isn't. In this case, that protection depends upon other producers having information and us knowing they have it. Now we do know.
Funny how, notwithstanding all these 'horror stories' there are girls lining up on both sides of the Atlantic to sign these contracts. Maybe they - and their agents - are better placed to judge than you.
When you read all the posts, there's a clear pattern:
1 the information is given
2 there is an emotional [rather than an intellectual] reaction
3 some people simply cannot accept the veracity of the information
4 so they try to support their emotional reaction with half digested snippets of law
5 the information is repeated, with the legal and business substance given
6 they then enter sulk and abuse mode
We didn't have to go through this exercise in the US. Because the producers and their lawyers and the agents knew it all already: as Kieran has pointed out. It's only on this forum that the provision of legitimate and important information is treated with ignorance and abuse.

Our US production partners have read this, and have asked me to point out that as a US producer, US Federal law also covers any breach of the clause you have seen.
This means that any DVD sold in the US or any website accessible from the US which includes the prohibited materials, makes that producer liable to legal action in the US.
Nice here innit ?

Is that your way of saying that you now accept that your legal analysis was incorrect ? Great, you've been educated.
You can make adult material any way you want. You just can't breach our legal rights in doing it.
Off you go then ...

You have it all wrong. GBH lasts a few seconds, then it's over. Court proceedings last much longer and are much much more painful, especially to the wallet.
Dear dear, you do live in a strange world.

This isnt a B2B forum hiwatt, the forum you are confusing this one for is , where as this one is British Girls Adult Film Database, which by its nature as a database of porn girls and films is for FANS as in END USERS as in CASH COWS as in YOUR CUSTOMERS, to find the info on their fav girls and buy more content of said girl.
It just happens that the moderation team here are a little more approachable than others to some producers and models hang around here.
Maybe worth BB adding their own forum and creating a gated community with a 58 page disclaimer before you sign up ?
