''Like Cate, I too applaud the work of the NHS. They look after me, they check my ID, they offer free treatmeant, they swab my throat, anus and vagina and they are lovely, attentive people. These are all qualities that no other private clinic has ever been able to offer to my knowledge. They also type my test up for me.'' KatieK

Just to quote Katie, i back up the service i get with the NHS 100% i will not be moving from my ?35 cert per month.

If you supply an online cert and shoot 50 times a year you get 50x20 (?1,000) extra in payment ?20 extra for every shoot

If only for the sake of controlling the spread of an STI breakout this new system is a must

A few models here ranting on and against this system not a mouthpiece for all models.

So lets just get this new system moving on in the right direction for the benefit of everyone.

I think this has segued into how effective people say their tests are now and thats the problem.

if the NHS dont offer the same level of service all round then it is compromised on some levels.

That is to say, you are working with someone who may not be tested as effectively as you which brings it back to the same issue and that is damage limitation.

The NHS may treat you but there is no effective quarantine in place to prevent the same infection from spreading in the event of a lock down. The present system is chaotic and only works because no one has caught HIV or hepatitis or syphillis but everything else is ok because its treatable.

Thats th emessage Im getting

no test is impervious so therefore porn stars and escorts and casual weekend shaggers and one night stands are all equal variants inbetween are all at the same risk.

Thos who do girl/ girl may as well do boy /girl because they can still get an infection from another girl who might have seen an infected male not in the adult industry.

Lets face it, stds are on the increase every year. Is it not time we upgraded or pushed for an upgrade.

Its no point amateurs or pros, escorts or porn stars arguing about it because stds are not prejudiced where they come from and who they strike.

Unanswered questions

The questions some of the girls asked was not answered e.g. full tests,
our NHS does mouth. genital, anal, blood & urine & the aftercare is brilliant if you do catch something. The girls asked why a lot of the clinics cut corners on full tests & no one as answered them but instead insult them..so why don't they do genital, anal, mouth swaps like all NHS clinics?
Why put doubts in peoples eyes about the NHS & say remarks like some producers might reject their certs...a data base is a good idea but drop the strong arm tactics as this will only put peoples backs up.
Clinic Express as said it would like to work with NHS clinics so all those against them please show some support if you want it in return, '
Skiny deep' who are you? & are you on here to wind the girls up on purpose with your negative insulting remarks because thats all your doing?
Online certs is the future but it as to evolve by choice not threats & insults,
Pro actresses doing bareback & escorts doing CIM are as high risk as each other so don't make it a them & us subject but instead work together as a sex industry where all are equal.

There has been a couple of comments here about how unsupportive the NHS are of the adult industry, but if you tell the NHS clinic you work in the adult industry they normally offer you anything that will help, from advice and condoms right through to Hep B vaccination. Because it is in their interest to prevent rather than cure.

Would a private clininc do this?

The aurgument is not against the online system- it's against the fact that you have to use private clinics to use it. Once ALL the PCTs use it, then I'm sure everyone will be ok with it.

There are 152 PCTs in England, will they all join in? Rolling a new system/ access across the country can take 5 years- that's once it's been rigorously tested. Wales and Scotland have their own NHS systems and they haven't been mentioned.

The theory is good, but not practical yet.

I think thats a question for Clinic Express and Regents Park Clinic to answer.

Im sure they answered this in 2008 but since this came out of the blue might be best for them to give a more up to date answer

This is not a private clinic Vs NHS clinic debate

This is about online cert which will be offered by both NHS and private clinics

models saying NHS offer additional mouth swab etc.. as far a porn shoot is concern the mandatory checks are covered by private clinics i.e Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, syphilis and HIV

Don't hold it against private clinics if they don't offer these other optional tests. There are over 100s STD checks you can do, no clinic can covere all that not even NHS you just have to pick the top 4 most important ones.

Models ranting on here and against online cert the minimum you can say in support is:

"This online cert is great idea, I fully support it, however my local NHS does not currently offer this service but as soon as it does i will join the new system and also be using it"

End of story!
