When it comes to violent crime, Theresa May must be livid with whoever was Home Secretary between 2010-2016 for cutting police numbers and resources so severely.

!furious!

Theresa May and the government will be so furious with whoever came up with the backstop.

Although I can help her out here. It was Theresa May and the government who came up with the idea of a backstop.

I still say she is intent on no deal and imposing a state of emergency at which point she will bring back all the surveillance bills etc she wanted as home secretary. It's never been about brexit to her it's always been about delivering her dictatorship.

What a depressing thought.

I know I keep saying this, but I don't think she is going to be PM for much longer.

My feeling is she will be gone before the summer recess.

She has the permanent stench of failure surrounding her now, and there if there is one thing the Conservatives cannot abide, it's failure.

I know Conservative MPs cannot ask for another leadership election now until December, but I'm sure they'll find some way to get rid of her.

Just like Thatcher, her cabinet will line up to plunge the knife in her back.

You can see the positioning now to replace her.

Javid with his withdrawing British citizenship from teenage girls (although that has blown up in his face).

Rudd trying a softly, softly approach to get the centrist vote.

Hunt roaming around the world upsetting foreigners.

I think Boris is a spent force now and too toxic even for the Tories.

I'm sure Gove and Fox still think there in with a chance though, with Williamson an outsider.

What a bunch of incompetents?

As soon as Brexit has moved on and someone with a modicum of authority there's going to have to be a clear out of the Cabinet. Grayling will be gone and if whoever takes over has any sense Williamson, Gove, Leadsome and Hunt will be following him out the door.

I've always wanted to know what dirt Hunt has on May. She's tried to get rid of him twice and then he ends up promoted to Foreign Secretary.

Here's some comfort for Theresa May.

Her defeat last night wasn?t the largest in Parliamentary history as that honour belongs to Theresa May.
