I hear you, Marty.

A lot of people are bitter and intimidated by success- I don't begrudge you yours. If your trappings have been acquired by honest means and have taken out the vital insurance of being 'good' on the way up (as there is the possibility of humble pie on the way down), that's fine by me. Success does not a tosser make- blind arrogance, delusion and the belief that your income bestows superiority upon your neighbour makes a right royal prick.

This sort of belief system is poisoning the soul of a nation, and a lot of born-with-silver-spoon-up-the-arse Brits are vacuous, lost little entities.

Maybe the great modern social commentator, Ali G, summed up the state of the UK on interviewing a leading politicain (was it Tony Benn?) with cleverly disguised, scathing sarcasm disguised as dumbed-down ignorance:

"So, Tony, aaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! Wot iz zis fing in the UK called a 'Welfare State'? Is it there becoz it's well fair??"

Damn right it is.

!laugh!

Sorry..........genius, that!
