As a motorcyclist with many years of experience , going back to the days of open face helemets , I am able to add something of value to Stonevids comments. You may take my word for it that to move away from the flavour of moth is entirely positive , for homo sapiens . If you wish to discuss the correct place of moths in the food chain , under the "Thread of Everything" theory please see "re moths" where you may post re Bat/Mopth ecology.

The moths in Portugal are big arn't they , did you see them buzzing round that neon bar sign on the news last night ?

Did you see all those moths in the arc lights when the Tennis was being reported on in the evening news ? Feel quite sorry for them all fluttering around looking for a shag, and the moths are no better .

First sighting of the lesser spotted horned moth this year, flying around some luminous, discarded substance.
