Thanks- I thought it might be the 'visual comedy' thing.
As you know, I've stated elsewhere before that I find the German
sense of humour [and the people] utterly charming. And I DID live
there for about 4 years.

I have no discernible pride [or indeed understanding- in which case your
'funny' falls at the first fence], so:
1) Blue whale;
2) Oil;
3) Beef;
4) Oct. ....
in which case I suspect it's 'well, oi'll be fucked'.
Very amusing.
