I never cease to be amazed that Sam Slater spent some time last year- if not still now- knocking this place from elsewhere; but clearly lurks here and does his 'Voice of Sanity' routine from time to time.
What did Richard Littlejohn call Woodrow Wyatt? The 'Voice of Alzheimers'....
Let me repeat what I have posted in the past:
I feel so very very sorry for her boys.
Now- lets think for just a minute. How much do you think that they will see of their mother's fortune. That's right- I agree with you. Fuck all.
They will keep newspapers going for years and years to come.
I feel so very very sorry for her boys.

I'm sorry but when you say 'knocking this place', do you think you may be confusing it with 'knocking some forumites who post on this place'? There is a difference you know.
Anyway, if you can hold off having another pop at me (again), can you answer my question?
I never said you didn't feel sorry for the kids. (you've not got out of this habit of avoiding questions and making stuff up have you?) I asked you in what way a dental nurse, and later a business woman, was 'underclass'.
What's Labour's definition of 'underclass', colonel? Please feel free to raise my points with your colleagues and maybe you can come back with some sort of consensus. I've never heard any Labour MPs on TV use this term.

Sam, when she did the fitness DVD thing and all the other 'Heat' magazine/ITV2 type nonsense I think people's views were that she was a talentless idiot who just milked everything she could for cash. However, the floodgates of attack have opened on her with the 'capitalising on my imminent death' thing that she has done recently. She obviously would never have been around to see the dividend from that, but the tastlessness, the 'I deserve to be in the limelight for such non-newsworthy things', the fact she paraded her kids and made them live out this media circus where they would be instructed to do things that werent right for them and they most likely didn't want to do (for money from it all mostly going to other people), and Goody being well aware the kids would remember their last weeks with her as being like that - even when they are teenagers, in their 20's, 30's, 40's, and so on, and forever more) was VERY VERY BAD.
She was a trashy media savvy right to the end, and the memories and legacy of that will linger for her kids for decades to come. That was/is very bad. Her son's were manipulated, and will continue to be for years to come. And it is largely about making money for Goody's mother, Max Clifford and his senior staff, Goody's pretend husband who will be off to Ibiza living the high-life on a ton of cash, and for her ex-partner (who I understand is the biological father of the kids - but has only recently seen them when they are told to sit on his lap for photo opportunities in order to make more money). Honestly, this is all bad, bad, bad. There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING that can not be turned into cash now. What has happened to our country?

Ok seems a lot of Goody hating on this particular thread so I have decided to give the only forumite who can stick up for her the chance to bid on this unique "cherished - yeah fucking right dude" bargain:
Its for the kids!! ... over to you Samantha Slater!!

Of course not Sam. Even someone like JG has enough brains not to turn their nose up at a massive wad of cash when it's presented to them on a platter (the proverbial "gift horse"). But let's not kid ourselves that she "carved out" a living through any form of talent, skill, intelligence and hard graft - which is the trap that you appear to have fallen into.
Like I said above - you're crediting her with intelligence and business savvy that she didn't possess.
She WASN'T a "businesswoman", as you claim she was. No. She was a creation of the media and subsequently a media whore, even to the point of (as max_t has stated several times) whoring out her children for photo-opportunities at a time of serious illness, when most decent folk would have wished for a bit of privacy and (dare I say it) dignity.
I'd fully expect the likes of Kerry Katona, Katie Price and Paris Hilton to behave the same if they were in a similar situation - and of course there'd be enough gullible fools out there in pikeyland to lap it all up.
And all this bollocks about "just doing it for the kids" IS bollocks of the highest order: Thanks to Max Clifford's 'guidance' and the 'celebrity' chav-mags, she was already a millionnaire several times over. They were already going to be well taken care of, Okay! wedding exclusive or no Okay! wedding exclusive.
That whole thing was just one big tasteless, nauseating media circus. And THAT is why she's being slated here.

Ah but crofter: You need to read the small-print (or rather the big pink upper case print):
"HALF THE MONEY RAISED DONATED TO HER TWO SONS".
Makes you wonder where the other half is going, doesn't it?

I hate to add to the Jade Goody hysteria, but I have just seen the latest issue of OK magazine, the "Jade Goody death" issue.
At the top of the magazine it says:
"A nation mourns the loss of its brightest star"
For f*ck sake who was she Mother Theresa !!!!!!
2 years ago she was being hounded out of the country and branded as "talentless, racist and stupid" and now she is being lauded by our own Prime Minister no less.
Here are the newspaper headlines from 2 years ago
Next the Pope will be making her a saint.
It is all getting too stupid for words.

Ok you guys have convinced me..Jade Goody is the media smash sensation....Even here at BGAFD ville!!!! 125 post later and still counting.
Is it any wonder she has done well? Shes the "Who Shot JR?" of the millenium.
That Max Clifford was definitely onto something.
Theres no such thing as bad press it seems, especially if tongues are still wagging.
I'm impressed! I was right!!!!

I would say there is bad press when it says something like "Jade Goody Is Dead" now to me Tel. that don't sound too promising for her ...
You do know that her super duper biography has been rushed into print and is available from all good book stores (always wanted to say that) and also Play has it:
Also a film may be in the works:
... publicist Max Clifford is scouring Hollywood to see if Miss Piggy is available to play the lead role.
Basically the pound of flesh seems to be very much alive and as forecast still looks to be mega money to be made in Goodyland and you can bet those close associates she adored are going to flog THAT till the bitter end and beyond.
