Yep fuck me Uncle Dibbs, forgot you were master and commander of all that breathes in your neighbourhood.

Of course you have beat the shit out of every robber that has even looked up yer garden path mate ... honest we all believe you ... does that make you feel better??.

I would imagine I MIGHT just know a few more robbers than you and in my experience they all have major drug and/or alcohol problems to deal with, and let's just say these guys wouldn't think twice about doing what it takes to escape unscathed if cornered. The whole area I live in aint exactly an employment hotspot Dibbs it has to be said.

Actually, yes, it really does. Very much so. It's wonderfully therapeutic; I can thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

"and let's just say these guys wouldn't think twice about doing what it takes to escape unscathed if cornered."

All the more reason to immediately 'put them down' should you discover them on your property.

"I would imagine I MIGHT just know a few more robbers than you"

You forget that I am also from the wrong side of the tracks. I don't want to get into a dispute as to how many robbers we both know, suffice to say that my robber acquaintances will no doubt be of a somewhat higher caliber than your, presumably, small time street robber friends. To kick a little old lady to the ground and rip her shopping bag from her hands would be as unthinkable to them as driving their Mercs over Beachy Head. But that doesn?t mean they aren't able and willing to take whatever action is necessary to deal with any street scum who might cross them.

Oh, sorry, I forgot, the Nazi war criminals performed their actions in the heat of the moment, after sad and deprived childhoods, having been misled from an early age into believing that the Fatherland was all, then finding themselves unrolled unwillingly by the mystic powers of Hitler into the party where, against their wills, they rose rapidly to positions where they held power of life and death over millions of people throughout Europe.

C'mon, get real. Presumably you'd have given them a few years in jail at a massive cost to the Allies then given them retirement in Bavaria on state pensions, funded through the Marshall Plan, giving them every chance to plot a comeback with Hitler as their patron saint.

He,he,he, Bloody good reply....and your not going to stand for that are Dibble? over to you..This thread is back up to standard and here's me thinking the noble art of rhetoric was dead and buried...
On the subject of burglars, one of names mentioned often was Tony Martin, the farmer who blasted one of the burglars/gypo's in the back, at the time that this happened myself and my other half were going to evening classes doing a law course , the course tutor discussed and argued about the case with us. I like most people had preconceptions about Tony Martin, but after we went through all the reported "facts" on the case it was suprising the majority of the class thought that at the least, Martin was guilty of manslaughter but not guilty of murder, which if I'm not certain can carry a life sentence. The thing. is life is not really black or white, it's a bit, well, grey. I realised that after the course.
But that doesn't mean that Burglars should'nt deserve a good kicking, they do.

Unlike you Dribble, I won't ever be nominated for a Man Booker literary prize.
