I would say mainly the former and also utilisation of specialists in the field in some cases. A few are switched on enough to embrace the latter also.

If you are referring to me, then you are way off the mark.
I liked models to have a bit of experience only so they made their own decision to come in to the industry without any influence from me.
But it would have been easier with the blank canvas of a new model. "Experienced" models or models who had done a few shoots and thought they were "experienced" were often more difficult as they had to be trained out of all the bad habits they had picked up.
As for being "stuck up" Is looking for the easiest and most rewarding way of making a living and avoiding jobs you don't enjoy "stuck up?"
If so, I wish I had been more stuck up, then I might have had a more "rose tinted" view of the industry.

As I know from my own experience of that era, and I have been told by a few models that you paid over the going rate a time and from now on , they would increase their rates .
Like it or not that is the truth at that time . Frankly I don't give a toss of things today . As I had already stated my views about PP and I will stick to them
