I made a similar post on xbiz forum asking for tips and I got ganged up on and called a 'GWC' which I was told means a guy with a camera and apparently that is some heinous crime that means no woman would want to work with me.

The term GWC in the context used on Itsadult, xvid etc goes back long before video.

It was given to a photographer who turned up at a studio or photography club outwardly having a genuine interest in photography and artistic style but in reality aiming to get wanking material. If one-to-one with a model he would push her limits, maybe offer money for explicit photos or even personal service. He might not even have film in the camera given no means to get processed, just be mentally recording the session. This was easily caught out by taking more than 36 shots but not changing film roll.

The model might report him or just not work again at that studio / for that club or not all. She would though probably tell other models who then also would not work for the studio or club plus spread the word.

Overall seen be the studio / club as potentially spoiling future events and their reputation.

Before personal websites, webcam, onlyfans etc most work opportunities for models were one-to-one and so the pushing of limits and propositions continued. Because of this some changed to only wanting to work for professionals. Hence to protect their reputation and so retain the models the professionals want to exclude all others who get the tag GWC regardless of their track record.
