Thanks for your responses - thanks for vouching for us, Phil McC and Marcus. We've had a pretty good response now, quite a few chaps and couples coming along on Monday, and some single women too, which is good.

As I said, we're not out to do a hatchet job on porn, but we're not making a film about how brilliant it is either, or how perfect the British industry is. I've been following the discussions of the Brit industry you've been having here on bgafd and I'm sure a lot of the issues you've brought up will come out in the film. Name me an industry where you can talk to the producers and the consumers and everybody's happy...

Cheers,

Chris

one small request: try not resorting to the usual porn-doc clich?s of sinister background music and grainy, b&w, slo-mo footage as many of your colleagues are wont to do, when confronted with the banality of people who have an interest in (shock, horror) sex!!!

there's a free vid in it for you! ;-)

Frank Skinner, Dominik Diamond, Jonathan Ross, to name but a few. But any magazine like FHM or Loaded and all the celebrity interviewees talk about nothing else. Collecting porn is actually quite passe nowadays.

Only amongst poncey media types I think though Golostruda. If you were ever to step outside of your circle of London media chums with their riverside apartments and coke habits and talk to the average normal person you would discover porn is still very much a hidden hobby and the average working class man would be terrified of his wife, mother and sisters discovering his vile collection of Ben Dover movies. Its still considered dirty and seedy by most people. Thats why we all (including your goodself) use posting names on this forum rather than our real names. I wonder how many of us would be happy to tell people at work about our porn?

I am sorry Golostruda but if you think everyone is open about enjoying porn then your living in cloud cuckoo land.

It is getting more and more accepted, I can tell through my e-mails from ordinary people. The more TV we get the better basically it is a sign of acceptance not approval. First we have to show it excists. I still get people and I don't meen idiots from media ask me if hard core is legal, that about sums it up. Every TV show I have done has been possitive appart from 1 and I have had loads of possitive stuff out of the shity one. Everyone just rang or mailed and asked if I was ok etc, when I told them it took 7 weeks to film and it was just all the bad stuff they laugh, we all know thats how some media want us to look. But if no one takes the challange and does the shows then ok we will never win or even fight.
I vote with my gob and my cheque book look how many titles I put through the BBFC before the big boys imported 1000 USA titles, swapped them and fucked an industry in its first year. Like I said its easy to come on here and pass opinions when you don't need to eat from them.
I would like to see more support for the UK producers/models/distributers and anyone else who is involved in the UK adult industry. The problem is as always empty barrells tend to make the most noise.

With the best will in the world, my social circle includes train drivers, bus drivers, warehouse and forklift ops, meter readers and clerical workers (I may work in the media but I don't hang out with media cunts) and I have never met anyone who isn't open about their porn consumption with their friends, partners and workmates. With the best will in the world, you must live in some backward village in the arse end of nowhere. 'Cause I tell you now porn is accepted by at least 85% of the UK population. You must have fallen in a bad patch to still be concerned about the remaining 15%. [PS In case you think it's a bloke thing, the majority of women I have met/know/got off with have porn collections of their own - they have been variously teachers, nurses, office profesionals and shop workers. You really must be living on the moon, mate, if you think it's not widely accepted. Alternatively, maybe the problem lies not with what other people think but what *you* think they'll think. In which case, talk to a shrink.]

No need to get so aggressive Golly old bean.

Were you raised in an industrial northern town? I was. Not a village either but a large city with a population of 300,000. Admittedly many of them are backward cunts with no idea of culture and regard Channel Four as "for freaks and students".

Did you go to a comprehensive school? I did. I bet you were privately "educated". Your posts reek of yuppie tosser material IMHO. Your always name dropping like your bullshit story about an Irish singer having a rectal prolapse whilst using buggery as a means of contraception due to her catholic faith. Has it occured to you that if the said singer was such a good catholic as to be worried about obeying the Popes views on using a condom she would hardly be the type of girl to be getting her ring bashed out of shape in a TV studio dressing room because that in itself would be a bigger sin than using a condom. Think about it.

You can spout all the shite you want about your mates on the shop floor but it still does not alter the fact that porn is veiwed as dirty by the majority of society.

I am fully aware of the FACT that most people still believe porn is in some way dirty. Your fork lift driver friends may talk openly about porn on the factory floor but I bet they dont tell their mothers/wives about the latest One Eyed Jack flick while munching their stodgy yorkshire puddings prior to settling down and reading their dads copy of the Sun. If your so convinced that porn is accepted then perhaps we should have lunch one day and invite both of our families. I bet yours would be more shocked than mine. I notice you use a different tone on this forum than you do on Bens.

And as for you PR Mann its hardly suprising that people at your firm are OK with porn. Thats because your firm is in the adult industry. And by the way, the guy you picked on over the "sexism in the workplace" issue is a fireman. Cant get much more manly than that can you. I would like to see you do some hard work for a change and get some of your orders filled instead of banking the cash and laughing at the punters who keep you in Armani clobber. And get JJs videos sent to him. He paid for them so you deliver.

Just a quick PS Golly old fruit.

Were the fuck did you come up with the figure of 85% from? I do hope you didnt just make that figure up. I would hate to think that someone who works in the media would tell fibs.

The media might bullshit for a living. I argue for a living incase your wondering.

Nice chatting with you. I have to go now as I am popping round to discuss double penetration movies with my granny and the local Quakers Society.
