I was just going to say that myself.
Its like the MOT on your car, only good for the time the car is in the garage at the time. You go 5 mins down the road and a bulb can blow and a copper can pull you over.

Agreed. It's no good banging on about condoms when you're running around doing gang bangs and bukakke parties with random blokes who all get a go as long as they pay the right price, or sucking off a bloke for a private video because he pays well.
Porn performers should stick with that, party people should stick to that, and 'never the twain......'

It would appear that the whole system of protection within the industry is so compromised that it is basically worthless to non-existent.
1. Certification that is only as true as the day the test is performed (and becomes less so as each day passes) unless taken every day
2. Models, either quietly or otherwise, doubling up in some instances within the escort world with partners without certification
3. Models also undertaking POV, parties etc etc with partners without certification
It is not for me to judge, far from it, but if 2 and 3 occur with some degree of regularity and if these models (male and female) return into mainstream acting then the whole system of protection is compromised to the extent that it simply does not exist.
We all appreciate that with regard to 2 and 3, condoms are the norm but pop shots are fair game and one can never be 100% certain. I even myself have turned down offers of bareback from models in shoots before (not many but it has happened).
Just sayin.

The way I see it, is that the greatest risk of contracting HIV is by unprotected sex (certified, or not), compounded by doing so with multiple partners. This is what compromises safety.
People can bang on about amateurs, parties, models doing 'extra curricular' work etc., but if you're performing unprotected intercourse, with 'professionals' or otherwise, it is quite simply a dangerous game to play.
Sex, with a condom, is far safer (but, of course, not foolproof), whichever way you want to spin it. As such, any models that work with amateurs, or do other adult work, are pretty much going to use or insist on physical protection, and therefore by definition, are going to have a far less chance of infection, than by working unprotected, with certified people.
There is simply no argument that unprotected intercourse, is the most hazerdous activity.
Seems like people are trying to excuse this HIV scare, and the activity of working unprotected, by blaming it on amateurs. Although I would agree that working unprotected with an amateur, is even more foolish than working unprotected, with a certified individual.

The actual Pro industry is quite small compared to the much larger amateur industry but everyone we know or have worked with have certs.
Amateurs are no different to Pro as they both have certs & a majority of both escort & do parties so some charging an higher price to shoot don't make them any safer.
As you may have noticed only models & people outside the industry can see the importance of condoms as producers & companies choose to ignore the fact simply because of production & the fear of lost profits & they will make every excuse to say the opposite.
We did hope some of the formed organizations would have adopted a mandatory condom policy by now but its up to their members to push for this.
Trying to get the UK industry to follow safe heath lines is like hitting your head against the wall so why even bother, each time a scare like this happens we get more support from models who want to use condoms but sadly it will take a real HIV to get total support.
Any models wanting a Mandatory condom policy please PM us at
videokim69@hotmail.com as we are building support & unity is much needed.

OK I kind of speed read... so not sure if I missed anything... but here's my 2 cents...
I agree certs are not the be all and end all... What the performer does in their private life after being certed for example...
Yes HIV/AIDS is very scary... but a lot of people still have unprotected sex... yes it's Russian Roulette... but it has happened since ever, and will do for ever...
Condoms in Porn ? It's been suggested a million times... I for one hate it when I see "condoms" sorry but it just doesnt work... When the last big scare in the US happened, the directors/producers were frekkin out... cause they know the people who watch porn, do not want to see condoms... sorry but it's a fact.

I have no problem with performers doing escorting & gangbang parties as long as they use protection for both pentration & oral and stick to safe pop shots (boobs, stomach & feet) The problem is they don't all follow these precautions, if they all did the certs system would work.
The problem is even when we hear of them doing non-certified OWO, bareback escorting & having unprotected one night stands with randomers they still get booked and even if we avoid working with them ourselfs they are still working with the same people we are.
We are now told its safe to go back to work but im so shook up by it that i can't decide what to do.....
*on one side im impressed by how quickly it was dealt with and am releaved to know the industry has a plan in place for when such awful events happen, i also realise that we still have zero hiv victims from UK porn.
*but on the other hand, skanks are still getting work and im really concerned by those who wanted to carry on filming regardless, i feel that dodging this bullet is a big wake-up call,
The only way i would feel safe doing porn is if the whole industry sticks together and does something about the above dangerous behaviour by all careful performers refusing to work with them and all producers agreeing to not book them anymore or of course for condoms to be mandatory but i think we all know neither will happen,
So i guess we are back to having to decide if we are willing to take the risk...
at present im still too scared and am only taking bookings for solo, hj,
non-fluid swop gg and Protected bj/bg.
Luckily i don't have any fluid swop shoots booked in till may so i have a while to think about it.

Why should condoms be made "Mandatory?"
I would suggest to all those demanding condom use, to make this demand displayed plain and simple on their profiles and inform their agents that they will only work with condoms henceforth and allow those that wish to continue with the perfectly adequate safeguards that already exist, to continue to do so!

I have to agree with the logic of above suggestion.
Regardless of the practices of others taking part in a session, a performer can protect themselves by stipulating, on their profile, that they will only perform interactive scenes if a condom is in use.
The performer who makes such a stipulation remains safe even if condom use is not mandatory for everyone.
