Maybe now have put your moan on here you will get plenty of offers of shoots.

I know things picked up for me after I put my moan about P/S on here a few weeks ago.

I won't be the first I won't be last to complain...
Yeh I've had a few emails from models, one from a model relating to this thread where models did turn up to her shoot. So it happens to models wanting models too...

I have had the worst year in the 8 years so far I have been going in 2011. I classed myself as lucky until this year. I know I may ask for trouble as I shoot unknowns quiet heavily since I have always been good at sourcing them out, well that and I live in the north east england and there are a lot of open minded girls up here.

However I have had lets downs from very well published models who can give references as long as my arm and still had it happen with what I would say is a bad excuse. It is really strange how the career girls can turn up for one, get a glowing review, not for another and then show up for the next one. It's a shame as there are a lot out there who do show up, it has just been a bad year for let downs for my work personally, but 3 in one shoot that is appalling.

We also thought about retiring from the industry this year as this recession is destroying the adult film business & its getting harder to earn a crust, we have been stiffed over by more model agencies than models over the years so different sectors effect various aspects of the work place from model to producer so don't just single out the models on the declining shoots problem.
The guys are more no show than the girls as we have had only a couple of no shows (female models) in 14 years & even that was with reasonable excuses, because we do content share now we find the girls often need the material more than the money & they move heaven & earth not to let you down.
We have found that more ladies are now coming into the industry because the fact money is tight, John spends most of his time shooting pics/footage for girls off AW mainly to stop them paying silly money to togs for expensive portfolios.
Some togs ask 100's of pounds & some of these girls girls don't have a pot to piss in when starting out so when they realise John can do the same on a content share basis there is no contest.
You need to be useful to the girls/guys etc & build a network to keep going rather than have a pocket full of cash & think this will get you the models, word of mouth & trust earn you the stripes in this industry nothing else.

Well the girl who let me down required content, she was asked on here...
I emailed her once Sunday and twice Monday, I guess the penny should have dropped when she never replied, but as I am Mr Charming, I always give a model until 9.00 to text me on the day of the shoot - something I always stipulate. Stranger still she posted twice on here yesterday, once asking for someone to build a site... Well without content it's going to be one empty site unless she shoots it herself...

As you know my shoots are different from yours as pure personal rather than for publication, website release etc.

Overall I've had a mixed year of shoots.

Putting aside the communication with models who went quiet when I suggested dates my first planned shoot didn't happen. First the model phoned asking if we could start an hour later then phoned to cancel.

Three shoots went to plan time wise but two models were significantly late although the planned shoot times were not reduced.

As to delivering the content requested / agreed three were excellent and two reasonable but one only delivered a few minutes of video when at least an hour was discussed yet she was the highest paid.

Overall my experience this year shows that paying more buys a better known model but not necessarily a better quality or quantity of content.

I hope to have the funds to shoot again next year although with the current inflation rate double the rate of my pay rise this year my pot of money will at best be the same. Hence it will depend if models are prepared accept bookings for the shoot length and content I request within my budget.
