by jj, seriously
So what's the state of play regarding stage censorship?
Sorry, but I've only just heard about the Lord Chamberlain's Office losing its powers.......

The Metropolitan Police said that it had viewed a video of x x x submitted by the theatre & found no evidence of any criminal offence. The sex is simulated, there is no actual penetration.
I guess this is along the same lines as the having sex in public act discussed afew weeks ago. As long as no one is having penatrive sex it's fine.

I,d have a job hanging on to me teabags at either! seriously though,I find explicit nudity in a play a bit pathetic, no one remotely cares about the script or performance, they just like to be seen in possesion of a ticket to some overhyped pile of doo! a bit like a Oasis "concert".
I went to see Albert finney/Tom Courtney in the dresser, that was a proper piece of theatre, and no one bared thier arse in that.
I expect Charles Satchi has already taken the first 20 rows for his chums, and Vannessa Feltz the rest, for herself!
Right, I,m off for a cuppa, and to put some lard on the cats boil.

I went to see The Dresser, and I bared me arse during one of the boring bits.
Got a round of applause from Saatchi's mates, too, though I don't think Nigella ws all that impressed.......
That was a quick trip to the Orient, wunnit? Ran out of tea, did they?

I thought of that, but it's Saturday and I didn't want to be the first to incur moderatorious wrath by mentioning the 'beautiful game'....a phrase obviously coined by someone who had never seen Vinnie Jones play.
