Set up a paypal account. Ask for a ?10 or ?20 deposit.
At least it will reward you for the time you've spent replying to them.

DON'T set up a PayPal account - if you get reported it will get killed and you won't be able to use PayPal for anything else. They are very tough like that.
If you have an AdultWork account you can require that they buy something - knickers? autograph? as a deposit.

Also I am sure not everyone would be impressed being asked for a deposit as I know its just as bad for TOG's as it is models. My main point was that there seem to be a number of "Gentlemen", and I use the term loosely, who use BGAFD, who enjoy communicating with models, discussing what is going to take place, then cancelling.....
I suppose it would be better if these peeps rang some of the chat line ads in the back of some of the mags I have appeared in.....
Would it be poss for BGAFD to start up a "comments" section so peeps could "spread the word" like on Purestorm?

I'm surprised your success rate is so high with Purestorm- that site too does have a reputation for people cancelling shoots.
To be honest, if I were you I'd not even start to discuss shoots through a site like bgafd until you have 2 or 3 references from the photographer. When he has confirmed he is bona fide, THEN start discussing business.

You can always ask if they have an AIR profile, and if they don't, or it doesn't look very good, draw your own conclusions.
AIR also allows neg comments re no shows on either side.
Multi neg girls I tend to delete, multi neg togs tend to stay up as if they don't pay attention to comments, that's a useful warning.
Such as this French fellow:-

The same applies to the other model sites and AW - real togs usually have something, somewhere, and if they don't, beware.
Another option is to say "look, you have nothing on the Net and no good refernces. So, for our first meeting you can EITHER pay me a deposit, or book me in a professional studio, and when you do, pay them my deposit." That way he knows you don't make any money without doing the shoot, and you know he loses money if he doesn't follow through.
