Hey carmen, good luck with the site. Does anyone know if, once you have uploaded your content to clips for sale, do they then own it? Also, do you have to update all the time like adultwork because I can only shoot fairly irregularly sadly. How do people really rate these sites like clips and adultwork?

Matt , as far as I know there don't own your clips , they may take a cut in the profits, I think you can upload as & when you can.

I have 6 c4s stores of my own. I love that site! So easy to use. I never thought they actually owned your content, but a few weeks ago, someone told me they did.. However, you can take material down if you want. You are in control

Once you have put up your first 5 clips ready to open your store, email them asking them to open it properly and email them over two forms of photo ID.

If you have more than one store and you'd like your monthly pay to be on the same cheque (rather than having two cheques - as some banks charge for each cheque you pay in), use the same email add for both/all stores. Then you'll just receive one cheque

You only need to update once a month also!

I'm not sure if I want to get a C4 site if there is any possibility that they might get some sort of rights to my content to be honest but I will look into it some more!

Intermark Productions is the name behind Clips4Sale and they own no rights over your content hosted with them.
They merely provide the tools for you to run your store and take 40% commission from each clip sold. The payout split varies for video store, image store and members areas setup with them. You can see full details at http://www.clips4sale.com/do/storeinfo
Initially you may think that 40% is quite a lot compared to say a 16% CCBill cut, but with Clips4Sale you have no hosting / bandwidth fees, plus other useful tools and there is a substantial amount of traffic goes there even before promoting your own stores.
I have a couple of stores there which I run alongside our member sites. It serves as a nice additional topup revenue as well as directing traffic to our own websites via our strategically placed banners there.
Our clip store is several months behind our members area in terms of content and doesn't provide the same value for money, yet we still get people buying several clips for say $100 (usually German) when you can download our complete library from the members area from $30 for a months subscription!!!
