One Eyed Jack,
You are correct no Model Release.
These are not video rates only stills. I have no idea about video has I would not wish do it.

Also I did ask what readers thought of those as approximate standard rates for 2010.
They were taken from another post on the same matter on a different forum back in 2009
I am the first to appreciate that models from London and the S/E would probably expect more, but for the rest of the country I thought they might be reasonable.
Also this would not apply to the bigger name models.

I know of many models from the Purestorm site that advertise at rates a lot less than these. In fact so low I think they would be better off working at Tesco or Asda.

Anyway right or wrong it seems to have got people posting on the subject.

On the other hand it is ideal for fledgling amatuers to learn the craft of taking a pretty picture so in that context its ok...And reasonable

For a good experienced model who will not waste time those rates are the most you should be paying for 1 hour excluding model release.
For solo levels an additional ?10 per hour for video is typical.

For a longer shoot you should be able to negotiate much better rates.

The same applies if the model posts looking for work at short notice or a second shoot if they are travelling to an area not local to them. It is generally these situations when I can negotiate a shoot within my budget.

Always check a models definition of a half day or a day, I now keep to hours.
