You couldn't take a liable suit against the site for opinions of it's contributors.
You could take a liable suit against the orignal poster if they were clearly presenting their post as fact.
This then would negate the arguement of "just counter" as anyone making a malicious post that could harm another's reputation would be open to such legal action.

100% wrong. Everyone involved in spreading the libel is guilty of the offence. Unless you have common carrier status, you are open to legal action.

Hi Tammie,
Time wasters and models/togs that no show really makes me sick - it give us all a bad name,
you should mention it on ukap so she doesn't waste anyone elses time, just make sure you keep all emails/txts messages ect that have gone between you as prove.

Matt - of course you should ask questions about each shoot you do,
especially .....
*is this certified work?
*whats the shoot location?
*what rate are you offering?
*whats your contact number?
if its not a well known company/producer you should also ask...
*if they have a online profile/website you can look at
*and if they can provide any references,

Any other quierys you have should all be answered before you agree to do or not to do the shoot,
anyone who isn't happy to answer your questions is proberbly dodgy or just a timewaster doing it to get his kicks,

Make sure you check refererences or read feedback on their profile and always speak to people you don't know on the phone 1st,

Be aware of anyone who can only speak by email and txt and never take a booking via txt off someone you don't know - call them back, if they don't answer leave a voicemail or txt them saying you tried to call and ask them to call you back

Not wishing to argue the point but how would the site be "helping to spread liable" when it's the opinions of it's contributors. Unless the site offers an endorsement or fails to address an aggrieved party's complaint then they aren't a culpable party.

The 1st question you'd be asked by any legal representative or intermediary is "did you complain to the site directly".

I'm curious as to why you site common carrier & not the more apt defamation, unless you're an American & your arguement is that BGAFD isn't providing a service to it's members.

Anyways it's not an arguement I wish to have on an unrelated post.
