Chris although there is some truth in what you say regarding the amount of male talent in the UK it's not fair or indeed true to say that the guys we do have are not considered to be world class.

Firstly, the quantity of guys available here in the UK has a direct correlation to the amount of work actually available. More UK productions would encourage a greater supply of male talent. Why as a male performer or indeed aspiring performer base yourself somewhere where their simply isn't enough work for the existing limited male talent pool?

Secondly, you mention Clarke, DD and the like as if they are sub standard performers. I have worked alongside these guys both for companies like Bluebird and Harmony as well as for European directors including Cristophe and know for a fact they are all well respected within the industry. Of course many companies have a stable of studs they tend to use on a regular because they are familiar with the way they work and have built a good rapour but this is not unusual in any field. Why wouldn't you prefer to work with someone you get on with?

All the established male talent UK or otherwise have proven they are capable of the job in hand, it's a matter of taste thereafter whether a company uses one stud over another.

Well done to all AVN winners....

So in other words Chris, you want to be a performer and none of the big producers are giving you a chance.....well let see a picture of you and find out what you have done so far and you may get a chance in the future.

But slagging off producers is not a great way to start if you are looking to break in to the industry.

I have know Demetri for many years and made sure he worked with Harmony recently. We also use a number of UK male stars such as Clarke Kent, Andy Mann, Dirty Dog.

The problem is, if a guy can not do his job then the whole days shhot can be lost and if you want to cover that cost, then I would be happy to use you. Do you have a spare ?6500 spare to risk on your scene if you can't do it?

Chris - I said you may like UK porn not that you do. I do know Evil Angel very well including John Stagliano and his wife. They also use to distribute Harmony films in the US before we opened our own office there.

Congratulations Harmony and Blue Bird for their awards.

Chris I can understand your frustration and what you say is true but you really have to understand the situation for what it is.

Harmony are a british company who won for their product irrelevant of the nationalities of the people they had working for them.

The fact they had to ship in the talent suggests the quality of performance and look they were looking for

The thing Ive had to deal with over the years with many guys who got into this business is that they all want a shag and not about their performance for a movie. This is why many guys fail because they become conscious of the camera man and crew.

Ive worked with George Uhl several times when i was in Prague shooting what I consider mainstream porn and he is amazing. He knows how to perform on camera, he is dynamic, knows his positions, has personality and can do that rarest of things....Multiple cum shots and the guy doesnt inject or do viagra (trust me I know he doesnt)

Its not all blissful and brilliant over there or in the US but they have a better understanding than most guys do here and they keep wood so much better but then the quality of women they work with and the conditions they work under helps considerably too.

This is not a knock to some of our fine male performers but if only all guys wanted in were great I wouldnt have to harp on about male auditions.

I hear what you are saying about practice making perfect but who will pay for that? As Harmony said, productions are so expensive they cannot afford to take a chance on new guys and this is not unlike the real world who will not try out an unbonded director or production company.

Prove you re relaibale and decent looking and the world is your oyster. Be mindful of your wishes because too much of a good thing can also be too bad for you.

Dave, what job should we give you? We do not require extra camera guys at the moment. Also it is not Harmony that picks the crews but the film directors direct as they are the ones working with each other.

You know that Dave, so silly little digs like that do not help or would want me to push your name forward now if I was asked by one of our guy's.....
