Hi Pip

Send me an e-mail at videokim69@hotmail.com & let me know who it was as we know most of the amateur film makers & this sounds far from amateur, we also chat with lots of newby people trying to start off in the industry so it would good to warn these of this companies antics.

Okay, let's look at what's actually been said here:
"I recently started shooting for an amateur company which are saying that in order to keep their amateur status are telling me not to film or model with anyone else"
You have not old us of the website so we can't check to get our facts straight but if he website promises amateur faces that appear elsewhere then they are perfectly in their rights to ask you to work nowhere else... The request may seem a little restrictive but if that is what they promise their customers then they have to keep that promise or risk getting chargebacks (refund demands).
It seems that they have been straight and simply laid out their requirements with you. Fro what you've said they haven't demanded anything, threatened anything or asked you to sign anything. They have just made it clear that if you do anything that might raise your status from amateur then they will not work with you again.
Suppose you had worked with a company that traded on material with girls that were brunettes - and nothing else. They would be in their rights to remind you not to turn up for work blonde or they might be in breach of their own promise to their customer-base. Suppose the site dealt with a certain breast size? and you came back to them with an augmentation or reduction - anything that would reasonably put you out of the running for work on that site... what then?

The fact is that nobody likes to be told that they shouldn't work for who they please but in the amateur-site market this is a common occurrence. Personally I would test the water to see if there was enough work out there to justify the risk of breaking-off from these people and try to come to some agreement with them. If they think you are messing around with them then they may just drop you but who knows?
Either way they have a right to ASK you to fit the description of model required by them.
You have the right to say no.
imho.

i think i know the site and there is a simple reason for asking her to be exclusive to them and not to feature anywhere else , simple , they sell a subscription to their site before you have access to the models contact details , lots of others do but dont ask for exclusivity so why them ?.

If they want you to work for them only, then they have to make you an employee, which involves a contract of employment, PAYE, sick pay, maternity entitlement, pension contributions, holiday pay...........

Of course, you could agree to be exclusive if they make it worth your while.
