This is the important bit. The camera crew following some poor, sad, bastard, taking his first few steps in porn. The premise of this kind of "Sympathetic docu" is that the participant fails. He has to fail ,to make good "Telly", the producers need seediness, arguments, dodgy looking characters, models not showing up, etc etc.

If everything went to plan, they wouldn't get a show, that is why they are looking for someone starting out. Remember behind every researcher posting on here, (Usually a cute little blonde girl, who's other job is holding a clipboard) there's an evil, "Telly Toff", lounging in Quaglino's, with his cronies, pondering on the next section, of what they consider to be the underclass, that they can prey on!

No luckily, in the eightees (Before porn) my video company used to coach people on how to look OK on TV, ie how to talk, look, etc. This was in order to protect them from, the scourge of our screens, "The Dreaded Telly Toffs". You'll never find a politician without a media consultant on standby, to protect them from Telly Toffs, eg Gordon Brown standing with his back to a lampost, Telly Toffs, would ensure they filmed him the the post sticking out of his head.

Look what the Toffs did to the Queen herself, in that recent docu, by editing ,they made it look like she's stormed off set instead of walking on.

The only person a Telly Toff respects, is another middle class person like themselves,Melvyn Bragg, Sir Norman Foster, assorted Luvvies and so on As Saddam would have said about them, "I spit on all of those Telly Toffs and when they grovel on my floor I will hit them with my slippers!"

No offense Melissa but..hasnt this all been done before? I remember being on a channel 5 docu with Karina Currie and Shakina and Karinas mum asking the tv folk how would they feel if their daughter did this and the guffawing and spluttering of tea that ensued.

That told me everything I needed to know.

In fact can anyone ever tell me a show that has featured on UK TV that has ever been sympathetic to the porn industry.

Personally I dont even care about sympathy. The same said critics are the same ones getting a good spanking and whipping in some dominatrixes boudoir somewhere in Vauxhall at this very minute.

If anything these shows reinforce societys hypocrisy with regards to this subject.

Why not do a show with porn people having custard pie fights and wet t-shirts talking about how much fun they had getting rogered on a shoot and how much more money they make above the many struggling glamour girls who get fucked over worse by the lads mags for free using the same promotion ruse as tv.

Porn is innocent by comparison.

When are tv people going to learn that the doors of the UK adult industry have come down like an iron curtain because of past experiences.
