"The real reason for the drive is that New Labour are obsessed about controlling everything a person says and does all in the name of good causes."

Yes, the snotty fuckers consider themselves to me your moral superiors. They look down on you. The question is - are you going to let them get away with it?

"This suggests that location of server doesn't matter. Location of business owner/producer does."

That was my interpretation as well. And it's going to cause a lot of problems if the authorities start going after UK based site owners/producers.

"What was the nature of the material for which he was prosecuted - "nice porn" or "jesus ughhh porn"?"

The site was called "sewersex", so I think you can work it out for yourself... but if you read the appeal decision. The focus was on its accessibility to minors, not the extreme nature of the content. Link here:

My question is, will this be a false alarm like the 2257 regs, or not?

Large US adult companies with servers based in the states will have more protection because the government will not want to spend thousands of pounds prosecuting them. US companies are hot on lawyers. Which means they will prosecute small UK based companies if they have the desire. We will see if it just a false alarm in a few months time.

Great. Make it illegal again. thats where the real money was! Yay!!!

On a serious note, this compounds the BBFC Online scheme that will come into effect.

Its all coming together as I have foreseen.

i tried to tell you all this before but noooo..I was treated like the mad man that spelled armageddon on a soap box.

Theres definitely a tightening up thing going on here and in truth, its been a long time coming. it must be getting out of hand if the authorities have noticed it.

It feels like the wild west now with so many things going on. a time for upheaval always brings change with it.

Still not sure its this Nu Labour thing though. is that the current tag line of the month now Nu Labour???

Is this forum becoming a recruitment ground for Conservatives now?

Porn and politics do not mix well here.

I'm not sure porn is getting out of hand Mr One Eyed Jack. It's just easy to blame porn and porn producers for all societies ills.

How many girls each week their their boobs out in Nut and Zoo magazine (porn for underaged boys), loads! Maybe, they should think about banning those magazines.

I'd go along with that. Not for any moral reason, mind. But just because they're totally shit! I once picked one up in W H Smiths to see what it was all about - but I couldn't make head nor tail of the fucking thing. It was totally unreadable! No wonder more and more young people are going divi with this 'Attention Deficit Disorder' malarkey.

Oh, and another thing. The so-called Nut/Zoo 'babes' appeared to me to be about as sexually charged and appealing as a damp dishcloth.

So what sort of sites will this apply to? They are loads of bondage sites that are mainstream - are these all off limits now?
