I reckon it's something to do with the director. The BBFC seem to bow down to 'good' directors. If past experience has been 'classic mainstream' then that hotter than hot explicit sex film by Steven Spielberg will surely get cumshots at 18 cert.

They don't release at 18 cert, Terry. I've been very happy with what I can do for TVX compared to what (I think) I wouldn't be able to do for an 18 or R18 cert -- nudity and sex in public, serious submission with the girl wearing handcuffs all the way through, squirting. The only stuff that I've made that they didn't put out were two episodes of War Baby, one with a Red Cross nurse and the other with two Nazis.

This thread shows the ridiculousness of Ofcon's censorship regime. Their broadcasting code specifically states that NO R18 material is to be broadcast but here we are admitting that semen is allowed to be shown. Similarly with cunnilingus, Ofcon allow that when oral to genital avtivity is R18. If the output on TVX and TAC were submitted to the BBFC it would not get an 18 Cert; it would be classed as R18. In my mind, R18 is R18 whether there's full on penetration or not.
Yet further evidence of an agreed content between Ofcon and the broadcasters. Keeps Ofcon, the Daily Mail brigade and the broadcasters happy. The only losers are the customers. Funny that.

BBFC cuts THE PORNOGRAPHER

The BBFC has passedthe French language cinema film, The Pornographer, ?18? for adults only, but has required a cut to a graphic sex scene.

The BBFC required that eleven seconds be removed from an unsimulated porn sequence in which a women is seen with semen on her face following oral sex. This is in line with the BBFC?s Guidelines at ?18? which state that the Board may cut or reject ?the more explicit images of sexual activity - unless they can be exceptionally justified by context?. The Board did not feel that the images cut were justified. The distributor has chosen to remove seventeen seconds.
PLEASE NOTE

The distributors of the film subsequently resubmitted it and it has now been classified ?18? with 12 seconds cut.

Thanks for the info, i also e-mailed Craig Lapper (senior examiner) at the BBFC yesterday & he sent me a list of what sort of filming i would need to do to get the films certified 18.
Do films for Sat need to be certified or do they just stick to the guidelines of the BBFC ?

I'll go one better than that. There is a Catherine Breillat Movie with Rocco where they both drink her period after he fucks her and pulls his erect dick out and collects her period in a glass and they both drink it.

I nearly fell off my seat seeing that. The film is called "Anatomy Of Hell" Maybe if it was called "My Bird Is On The Rag" They might have taken a dim view to that scene.

That one got me aswell Terry, it really takes the mick. Another on is Destricted, clear Anal Sex, Cum shots and a whole hardcore scene on an 18.

Got to say, the hardcore scene was great. Get a couple of guys who want to do it, interview them on camera, then pick one. Next get a group of girls, interview them with the lucky guy on camera. Lucky guy then picks his girl and they film a whole hardcore scene. End product - a "documentary" hardcore porn scene that's fine for cert 18.

It really did get to me, as there was stuff on there that we don't release on R18.
