From past experience (first hand) they wont be able to actually pay you anything at all, due to such a tight budget... Awe...

Same goes for expenses.... Sorry, but they cant pay expenses either...

So... Why do it ?

Well, its the publicity ! The publicity will be amazing !

And all of the above is based on many personal experiences, ranging from 2000 thru to 2006 from numerous different companies, both in the UK and abroad..

Plus there's the legacy from past 'documentaries' (C4 Hardcore) to be taken into account.

One of the Body Shocks (with the piercings suspensions) etc, had numerous of my friends, and some of AJ (SB)'s friends as well, so il shoot a message over and ask if it was them and how they was.

Porn along with Implants, Extreme Mods and other such are in a similar boat, with public acceptance, so maybe on the level.

No offence, Mr. Gecko, but if you're aiming to show the lighter side of porn, involving adults who enjoy what they do, I suggest you interview older and more experienced porn stars, instead of young kids who are just starting out, don't have a clue, and will no doubt at some point fall on their arses in front of your cameras.

Most experienced performers will have a justified mistrust of mainstream documentarists venturing into the porn industry, simply because the majority of these people do it either because they're sleaze-merchants producing soft-porn for commercial television, or they're deluded journalists who think they're going to dig up some kind of massive ugly story.

The minute I started doing porn I had researchers from Trisha on the phone trying to get me to do a programme where my parents tell me how much they disapprove of what I do (they don't), then some guy tried for three months about a year ago to rope me into some documentary that turned out to be about the link between porn and prostitution. I finally decided that I would never get involved with these people when I saw a documentary where Natalie Heck gets set up on a shoot with some total sleazebag producer/performer who gives her rug burns, rips her off and sends her home in tears.

The trouble with porn documentaries is that they're produced for the mainstream public, who enjoy two things: Seeing tits, and watching people fail. I personally have no desire to be fodder for that.
