Hey AJ, I guess for many of us, you will be the first changing amongst us and people will get the he/she or him/her wrong but accepted you will be. i have friends who have changed before i met them, so they have always only had the he/she designation, and i expect many of us have been the same so bear with us as we all get used it and acceptance is a cert.

Altho i think you need to start sharing the chicks instead of hogging them, hook a brother man up heheheheheh

2nd batch being uploaded as I type this

I use the Canon EOS 1 D mark 2. It is "only" 8 million pixels but is fast at 8.5 frames per second, great for some of the "papp" work and Red Carpet events that I usually cover.

I am freelance and available at very reasonable rates if you need any work done!!

I looked at the 1D mk 2n, nice camera and the pap camera of choice, but with a nice versatile L series on there, the 580ex and the quantum compact (dont have this noe) the weight was unacceptable to me.

I bought the 5D in the end, only think i dont like is the typical canon sync issue between the LCD and the end result, they look nice and well exposed but and the historgram looks ok but once on the PC its different.

It is true that the whole weight is an issue. I use 3 L series lenses regulally, the 17-40 for papp, 24-70 for events and the 70-200 for head an shoulder shots. The weightis better distributed if you use the side bracket for the flash and I have the quantum clipped to my belt most of the time.

The 5D is a very good camera but not quite fast enough for papp. I tend to use the histogram for checking settings etc and photoshop can work wonders.

I have now uploaded all my pics from Friday. Lets hope some of the ones I sent to the agency make the papers and go with a decent, honest story about how good Friday evening was.
