That may wel be Joe but I still think for the most part they're being tight....Trying out new talent means "I'll give you a go and pay you 50 quid"

When it comes to new blokes no one really cares unless he is really talented...Like Jazz Duro for instance. His performances are creative to the point of artistic and his delivery of the money shot is unparalelled. He cares about his work and looking good doing so...Most guys are just struggling to just get wood!

The point I'm trying to make here is as long as the girl is getting fucked good and proper for my camera, I'm not really paying attention to how the guy looks, whether he is fat, skinny, black or white....a decent sized dick is also important by the way.

...And no, I wouldnt rather be doing it myself. The only reason I used myself to begin with is because certain male perfomers I used in the early days knew that I needed them and were gradually taking the piss more and more that I thought sod it, I have a dick, I'll do it myself and save a few bob...and I enjoyed it too...And yes Chuck I did do it and still can if I have tobut I wont unless I can bring something new to the mix.

The reason I choose not to perform is because there are new guys around who are good and the reason I'm not using them as much as i would like is because I have an insane amount of stuff to get through for my sites, not to mention releases on dvd.

I am still shooting new stuff outside of Real Couples mind....

So pay up you stingey bastards! Good guys are just as impoortant as the girls and if you dont believe that then you're going to get crap performances. Crap performances = crap movies.

Hey there Terry...
My performances have been just as good looking a Jazz, and i agree with you that performing is an art form....and i can and always have performed when needed...
I am now far more better as i have been working really really hard to get in better shape and even surpassing the other male models....
Just give us a try,.....

Samsung, i think there is a bit of misunderstanding as Joe took the time to point out this afternoon on the phone that you seem to think I am referring to you per se which I am not...My apologies if you think this was levelled at you but when I refer to "they" "them" I mean the gneral newbies (some old hands too) I wasnt singling you out and never name dropped you either...I think we got lost in translation since I had this topic crossed over from the beer and bollocks forum.

Hope that clears things up a bit, but I stick by my guns that there are too many tight fisted producers out there...The good thing about paying a decent rate is you can throw a tantrum about the lack of professionalism if you get short changed and if necessary reduce the fee. I see no reason why a relative newcomer earn as much as a premium rate performer with experience. Male or female.

...And I'm not talking out of the back of my head...650+ shoots later I'd like to think I 've learned a thing or two by now.

OK, here's a question for you regarding the ages of men in the industry.

I'm 34 & want to get into the industry, I have had a test shoot with L~J a couple of yrs ago (Dec 2002), & that was good, but personal circumstances weren't right at that time. Now things are differant, I want to try again, so my question is:

What is the upper age limits to guys in the industry (in-front of the camera)?

No age man. If you're good for the wood and can make a girl shine in front of the camera...the world is yours

Cool, One Eyed.

Now I know that "age related issue" wont really prevent me, here's another question:
What is the best way to get started?

With regard the "Wood", no problems there, can get 1 of them easy enough. Yes I know what ppl say about any1 can say they get a Woody, but can't do it when it is required on-set, but that is really not an issue for me. Yes, I know it sounds like bullshit-bragging, as I suspect most of the ppl reading this might think, but "the proof is in the pudding" as they say.

B4 I get a Billion tirades over this, I know what ppl say about getting your own photos done (single & with a female model), maybe even a vid as well, but what if your flat broke?

I'm a single/divorced stay-at-home dad, so money has always been an issue for me. I did a "Test Shoot" with L~J in Dec 2002, & L~J offered to get me work, but certain "personal issues" arrose which prevented me going forward @ that time. Last time I spoke with L~J, she said that my pics n vid of the test shoot are still up on her members site. I know the pics n vid that were done are now "old" as its now 2006, but I'm trying to think of a way of getting new material done.

I will be available, hopefully around the beginning of May, maybe even b4 then, if I can lose enough weight, I have a lil bit of a stomach on me, which I want to get rid of first. I know "FIT" guys appear more in porn @ a higher rate than those guys with a "weight issue".

I'm also hoping to get my HIV/etc Tests done for April/May time, when I should be fitter & ready to try.

Tks again for any help you guys can offer,
Snake!

Well i hope i have done enough to prove myself, whilst not expecting to get flooded with work offers, was expecting rather more than what i have received so far.

Hey Martin!

I have to tell ya...its easier behind the camera sometimes.....not all the time mind, but generally.

I was abit like ya self to be onnist...didnt really get a lot of work...fitted into a bit of a niche and when that was gone, so was my work really...and then when i strugled on a couple of shoots I decided to call it aday. I was pefectly ok untill then, but i just couldnt get me head back. Probably could now...got over a few things going on in me life so could probably get back to it, but im happy behind the cam now.

Like any business, you get what you pay for....Tyres for ya car, Loo paper and Male Models. Sometimes you hit on a bargain, and you get lucky. And of course theres the guys who have to shop at Pound Stretcher due to there budgets....and they get by and do quite well.

Theres probably a good bit of balance in all of this. Its probably good that the lower budget productions get the new guys and girls as they can filter out the waisters and poor performers and in affect school them for the industry. Infact this is probably great for the upper end producers as they dont get to waste time and money on no goers! Although that said , its nice to be first with a female model to get new faces as im aware.

So all in all theres a kind of balance to the whole thing. Its like the housing market...you need the first time buyers at the lower end to keep the footballers and One Eyed Jacks Mansions moving and desirable.

Anyways Martin...you just make sure you do the best you can for any Producer and youll get work...if only bitty. Oh..and one more thing...Be confident in what ya doing.

Chuck Starr.
