Libby..

It's not as if anyone thought of contacting me about the change even though I knew about it. As far as I am/was concerned, Andrew was still around somewhere and hadn't completely vanished.

He upset a lot of people with his draconian attitudes, and he and I fell out in 2001. He carried it on till even earlier this year, when he posted here at the BGAFD and also by calling me with insults and threats at 4 am as a follow up to those posts. Do you really think I can behave or feel any other way about M-H ???

Libby,

IS it really safe for a model to work in this industry who cannot or is not willing to do some leg work ? who lacks the simple common sense to look around, check references etc etc ?

ARE YOU willing to put your name and LIFE on the list, IF i was a model and your claiming to validate and verify photographers as being safe, and i work with one PURELY on that basis since its to cut the leg work down, and it goes wrong and they get abused, i'd be seeing you in court, as you assured me they was safe, its a compensation crazy time at the moment, its not worth tempting fate.

IF you turn a photographer down for whatever reason, and said reason was to get out and damaged his rep BAM again.

To do this responsibly you would need to contact references thru written letters, do CRB (criminal record beurea) checks, register with the DPA, and soooo much more, the liability insurance you would require would require copious amounts of J-Lube to get it in.

I'd say you would have to be CRAZY to try and engage such a plan as you outlined.

I haven't read the post over on the UK Producers forum, but its been gone into there, but there are easier and safer ways.

*p.s. just my opinion which may or may not be similar to others

I second that, although I am a member of MH, I was once banned for breaking a rule... (I don't know to this day what it was I), on politly asking why I could not "log in" I got a snotty email back. I got an appology for this email 7 months down the line after a debate on TMC and I was re-instated.

But the funny thing is in all the time I was banned from MH I had loads of models contact me for work... Strange I thought... Why do you ban someone but not delete the post that got me banned...!

I agree with you!!!! You have not seen me support this idea - because I can see the many pitfalls and I personally would be prepared to do my own legwork.

All I did was point out what the topic being discussed was about as people seemed to think it was something Model Heaven was introducing as madatory for any 'tog who wanted to book a model from their list.

I don't think it is fair of anyone to make comments unless they have read the whole thread.

Where does this guy get his ideas from!!!!! pml

Yes there is a "closed" area accessed only by th emoderating team - this is so we can leav eprivate messages for each other, maybe advising each other if we have had to moderate a post.

We all have far more interesting things to do with our lives that store personal details of anyone ......
