Bill..

For Sahara, appearing in the documentary was perfect timing... She had literally just started full time modelling, so the PR for her was perfect. The crew went with her to Portugal on her first pro job, to start with.

It's not always the money.. PR can be far more important at the right time :)

Thankyou Joe - i didnt know that and its helpful to anyone who would be interested in this documentary.
Myself, yes the publicity would be worth far more than any money thats why i did email back when i was contacted to ask for more information but as yet still no reply.
I dont think i would do it, having thought about it now i know its channel 4. My family are all fully aware of what i do but i dont think my dad would be comfortable watching or knowing that his friends and work collegues were watching his 'little girl' lol (he doesnt have cable or sky)- out of signt out of mind for him works just fine and im happy to keep things that way for him at present.

WOW how does that work!

Now your talking about the docustitchup that kept slamming the muslim angle and featured the bird that keeps hurting herself and meets with strangers in car parks to make porn films with Jonny Bollix! And now I'm finding out that the people who featured it didn't even get peanuts but the PR was good so all the moody music and sarcastic voice over remarks make it OK?

Much to her credit Sahara's bit was OK and reflected her in a good light pretty much as she is though why every time she smilled the voice over had to say she was a Muslim beats the ballams out of me if you are making a series about British Porn. Ofcourse if you want too show how perverted the British porn industry is then get a pretty Indian girl and every time she appears say the words "She's a MUSLIM" and you'll get a reaction.

As for the other bird that gave up a high paid job to make low pay porn in train station car parks and cries to camera about how she feels the need to hurt herself, well I'm sure it did her no good at all. Mind you she probably now knows that film's about Anal Sex do require things being introduced to your bottom so it's been a learner.

As i sad many many months ago Diary of a Porn Virgin from the series the Dark Side of porn was an industry stich up and did not in anyway reflect the way that I do buisness or the industry that I am part of. I am aware that as with all things there are ROGUES and sad Pervs makin porn but even they don't take part in these daft silly programmes.

Last words on this one all you folk with a brain.
PLEASE think before you take part in a national broadcast about the British Adult Industry.

To all the monkeys, come on lads it's PEANUTS abound

Kayte :)

Thanks for the last post ..... I wasn't having a go at you or Frankie. I had to explain it as it was. I was only seen in it for a minute or two here and there, and I still get recognised from that... The other week the driver taking me, of all things, to the last TVX party remembered me.. LOL.

To be seen openly as being in this industry means you have to be strong. I was meant to have shot a brand new 19 year old Indian model last week but at the 23rd hr she changed her mind. We'd been discussing the shoot for a couple of weeks and I told her the good and bad about being in the biz and recognised/seen by family. She still lives at home and comes from a religious Hindu family. She realised that there would/could be a lot of come back for her and we cancelled.

Bill

Very few documentary's pay whether about porn or not !

Cathy and Phil Barry were also in Virgin, and they also came over very well. The ones who didn't in their part, were the guys who talked the talk but couldn't get a wood for the shoots. That was expected to happen and I thiught that brought humour to the programme. How many women meet guys that talk about their sexual prowess and then end up a big flop... LOL.

Unfortunately for Frankie, the biz wasn't for her.... But that's what a documentary is about.. Showing life as it is.

A few of us also worked with the BBC for a Radio 1 Xtra documentary that was transmitted in June. I know that I was happy, and so was Terry Stephens to do it for nothing.. PR PR PR :)

I first appeared in a documentary back in the 60's when a friend of mine starrred in a programme comparing us young mods shopping in Carnaby Street, to the old school shopping in Saville Row, and how we lived our lives. I was also in another one in the 70's about men and their vanity comparing us to women, but again this was done well. So I can say that my experiences have always been good :)

In 70/71 when I was a fashion designer, the old style Evening News wrote a scathing article about a full length velvet maxi coat we produced. As it was so long, a lot of short women found it dragged on the ground and the velvet was rubbed off. We refused to accept responsibility for this, as the women should have known better. The end result was we sold more of that coat after that piece than ever before... Good can come out of bad...PR PR PR.. :)

As for the use of the word "MUSLIM." Sahara mentioned this very clearly in her press coverage prior to the programme being aired, so don't blame the producers. This isn't having a go at Sahara in any way as she was prepared to talk openly to the Sun and Closer magazine about her religion. That explains a reason for the use of "MUSLIM" on tv.

Frankie did not make low pay porn in train station car parks.
She actually came to Derby to work with us at Tamber Videos.
We refused to participate in that documentary and this was Betty TV's way of portraying us.
If you want to see Frankie in action from that day, buy
'30 Somethings and Naughty 40's'.
Available from all good porn outlets and distributed by STM Distribution.

I'm still shocked that anyone wants to participate in this type of "documentary", I can't even see the PR possibilities. When will people understand that they will always be made to look like sad victims.
Keep well away from Telly Toffs..........they'll ruin your life.

I believe I shot Frankie for a scene before the making of this "documentary" and warned her of the dire consequences of participating in these projects.

I'll tell you why: because it is cheap programming that they know will get the ratings up on the promise of showing a bit of t & a while at the same time reinforcing the notion (as you've said) the porn industry as sleazy exploiters of women who-eat-babies.

Heavens forfend if they were to show the industry in the professional and commercial light it has become that the producers very own innocent (or the nation for that matter) daughters would be gagging and slobbering at the bit to become cock craving sluts and worse still, the dreaded woe of having...sex...with...a (gasp) big knobbed black man that would have them biting the pillow and screaming in wails of pleasure....Oh daddy can't handle it...His poor little innocent lovely daughter has a sex drive that only the porn industry can sate and recompense her enough to warrant a career therefore all her college education becomes null and void....Need I go on? Its a deep seated fear that can never be portrayed positively and this is the real core of it.

The only people who can make a documentary and show this industry in a positive light is someone who is already in the business but then...that would be biased also.

All this looking for someone in the industry to make a programme with why not show a bit of dedication and get one of those pretty researchers in CH4 to go butt nekkid for an audition and get some real cock in their mouths for a real look at the industry instead. that would make a blinding expose don't you think?

Go on court controversy if you want real ratings...or don't you really want to practice what you preach

"Frankie did not make low pay porn in train station car parks"

I recal the person in question getting on the train to Derby and explaining to the camera that she was going to do a BLIND SHOOT. She got of the train and standing in the car park said she was going to make a film with people whom she had never seen or contacted as the booking had come from an agency. She then said she was also unsure of her fee!
The camera then fades and the music goes all Friday the 13th and builds a grand image in the viewers mind of DODGY old PERVO porn. Shame that Vincent Price would not do his laugh it would have been a belter.

So from the angle of the programme it's low pay porn on train station car parks that is remembered.
