Thanks for the info.

As you say it is a grey area and I would still feel confident if I was copying from one format to another (although you never know with the courts).

Had a little look around the net and saw these:



Mind you it looks like you are right to say it is, at best, ambiguous :-)

If I had the bottle I would love to have my day in court, just couldn't face a fine if I lost!!!

I am very in to protection rights but at the same time it is crazy if you are not even allowed to change VHS tapes into DVD to keep up with technology.... then again it is a crazy world!!
