Paul, we had a laptop but also each night copied everything to a Epson Photoviewer backup device, which was kept in the safe just to be sure. Over the week managed about 15,000 pics and 18 hours of video, and the pics were around 12GB, so lots to sort out when we got back (and are still sorting everything now).
