Really doesn't make any sense when you cross the Channel. !wink!

I can now take a deep breath. !drink!
In fact, some early portfolio I submitted were of certain porn stars who had been quite busy with beasty stuff but rather anonymously. I hope alec still keeps them. Judging with the "20 years" criteria, they will have historic significance by about 2015.

I've been right across Europe, and I find 'regional identity' is as
powerful there as it is over here. I don't doubt that there are people
on Polynesian atolls who like to look down on their Polynesian atoll
next-door-neighbours as being somehow a 'bit odd', maybe because
they wear their grass-skirts just a bit above the knee instead of the
much more sensible just below the knee: -))
Of course, Dean Swift had all this taped 'way back in the 17th c., with
his Big-endians and Little-endians.... and don't get me started on the
Jews, Muslims and Christians, who are happy to beat each other up
despite ostensibly believing in the same non-existent Deity.....

Funny folk, the Human Race.......

I'm writing here because you are likely to see it more swiftly than e-mail.

I have 'material' that past the 'threshold'. Is it convenient to send them for an entry? Else, I won't think of getting occupied with it.

Nah, it's not the same thing for Britain. Think of something like every Spaniard would be called a Castilian as per norm in anywhere except his homeland. I think this is a better example for comparison of the British vs. English context.

The Netherlands have quite a similar situation with Holland, which is just a part of their country.

And it's not too long ago that someone here raved about the olive-skinned Italian beauties, only to be rebuffed by one of our resident Italians that this description would be entirely inappropriate for girls from the Italian North.

.. and Walter once delineated to me, in excruciating and extremely
lengthy detail, the differences across Belgium : -)

I think it's a much more general case of Shaw's "It is impossible
for an Englishman to open his mouth without making some other
Englishman hate or despise him". Humans seem at their happiest
when emphasising the differences between themselves rather than
celebrating their similarities : -)

4WIW I think it's a shame for posterity that several actresses' filmos
are impoverished by egafd's overriding obligation to obey the Laws of
its host-nation. The approach adopted seems to have been admirably
pragmatic- 'edgy' titles are listed, with little or no further information
and the customary admonition from the FAQs.
However, this seems to have had the unfortunate [unintended?] side-
effect that potential contributors
assume that the info. is totally unwelcome and so don't bother to
submit it at all. I'm not certain that this was the original intent, or
that it was seen by the mods as a desideratum- although I assume that
they'd prefer such material to be submitted by email so they can check
it over first, rather than offered directly through the forum.....

Both, but not English.

BTW, I think the French often understand the distinction (rugby, the auld alliance, etc.) but the Americans don't.
