I very much agree with you and Lou. I occassionally still buy dvds from the 70's and early 80's and, with the odd exceptions, they are so much better than the ones from the 90's and 2000's. I really do wonder how long the industry can carry on turning out rubbish like GGG and still be able to make a profit?

@Flat_Eric:
Thanks for your words
Theresa Orlowski is still alive and has her company in Hannover/Germany. But she only make ?Oma?-movies and other ?Bizarre-stuff? ... nothing interesting, I think. She has also a website ->
http://www.theresa-orlowski.de/
After she was divorced from Hans Moser (a.k.a Sascha Alexander and later husband of Sarah Young) she tried to establish a porn channel via satellite TV. But she never got a license for that. So she had lost her whole fortune in her studios near Hannover

Here's the answer how GGG works:
J. Thompson produced his movies in a nightclub in Munich. But he only films on sundays when the location is closed for the public (mostly in the afternoon).
Most of the girls are working regularly as a hooker in Germany, and maybe they get paid 500 Euros for a movie. The guys don't get anything (in earlier movies they had to pay for jerking off, but Thompson stopped that because he didn't get enough guys for a shooting)
So maybe he pays all inclusive (3 girls, the location, copies and distribution) 2000 Euros. If he make 200 copies of one of his movies (costs included above), each for 40 Euros, he has 6000 Euros for himself ... And he also has two paysites with a lot of members (don't ask me why I know that
) ... )

Hey Lou, I'd be interested to know if recruitment of actresses for German companies are based on prostitutes or are open to non sex professionals, or if there are differences among companies.
Thanks in advance.

A quote from Holly Randall (Suze Randall's daughter) from an interview on
Mr. Skin
I had to convince my mom to do hardcore scenes now, because when she did it in the '70s, it was shot on film and it was this huge production with scripts and all that stuff; she wasn't interested. I told her, "You don't need all that crap. Just shoot hot sex scenes."
Some people should obviously listen more to their parents

Thank you Lou. I know what you say is correct, although I was unaware of the actual financing of John Thompson's films. I once saw a 666/GGG film session in Munich and I have to say it did more to put me off hardcore than anything else I've ever seen. As you say Thompson does not have to sell too many dvds to get his money back. It is little wonder therefore that no one is producing top class porn anymore like, for example, Billian used to, when it seems good money can be made producing crap.
