very sad to hear about this.she was one of my all time favourite actresses.one of the most beautiful and elegant women i had the pleasure of watching. tragic that a woman who gave so much pleasure to many,many people was so unhappy as to take her own life,she will be very sadly missed.

As someone who new Mary Millington, may I correct this fallacy. Mary committed suicide I believe because she was an habitual kleptomaniac and was accused of stealing jewellery and due to stand trial. She had been under pressure for her porn career, but was very proud of that. In fact she helped advance the removal of censorship laws by leaps and bounds. David Sullivan was the promotor behind Mary, although I believe their affair had fizzled out by then. She helped front his sex shops as it seemed better to have a woman figurehead.
All those who met and knew Mary agree she was an amazing, free spirit, kind, gentle but needed psychiatric help for her theiving a bit like Lady Isobel Barnet from "What's my Line?"
